The next day, I awoke to birds singing. My head and back hurt from last night. I looked at my hands in astonishment and saw little bolts of electric pulsing through my veins. They were every color you could imagine. From that moment on, I knew I was not a normal homeless boy in this forgotten warehouse.
I was someone special that could do anything. I slowly stood up and looked around. There was nothing left in the warehouse because of the blast destroying our belongings. Then I felt a rush of sadness but didn't start crying. I didn't want that to happen again.
I started looking around the warehouse and found a room full of black clothes in perfect condition. My eyes met a note that read, "for Skylar". I looked around and found clothes that fit me perfectly. I found a pair of black jeans and a black jacket way too big for me. I shrugged and dealt with it.
I went out of the room and closed the door. I also found stairs leading up. I walked up them carefully and found a whole level of new wood and glass and tools. I figured I would fix the warehouse when I got older to do so.
I went back to the stairs and went up to the roof. I pushed open a door and saw the city I lived in from a new perspective. I took a step and fell through the roof and screamed. I closed my eyes and waited for the hit but it never came. I opened my eyes and saw I was levitating above the ground.
I slowly lowered myself and closed the roof door with telekinesis. I smiled and started flying around the big room. I went faster and enjoyed the wind in my messy hair. I slowed down and landed on the floor safely. What powers can I wield with a single thought?
I thought of teleporting and did it. I felt dizzy but was ok. I didn't do it anymore because I was not use to it. I laughed with such joy. I practiced everything I could imagine and could do everything.
I felt powerful and untouchable. I fixed the warehouse and painted it too. I painted it black and white with drizzles. My life felt complete and happy once more. I decided not to abuse my new found powers and only use them as needed.
With the warehouse fixed, I made a hammock appear in the top corner of the place and flew there. I lowered myself to it and lay down. I felt like I was at home. I slept easily that night and dreamed of my friend when he was healthy and full of life.
