Second Chances

Chapter 2

Brooke POV

As I stared at the door wandering what is going on outside a familiar face walked in. It was Jason.

I smiled as I began to speak "Jason, you came, I thought my parents wernt going to phone you."

"No, no they did babe, and I'm here and I'm not going anywhere. " he said in a reassuring tone.

My head was pounding as Jason kept asking me questions as to what happened.

" Jay, as I said you were with me, I got up to use the toilet and must've slipped somehow. That's all I remember. " I said in a sad yet irritated tone.

Jason stopped asking questions when he realized my frustration he bent down and kissed me on my forehead before he began to speak.

" I'll be back here again tomorrow B, get Better bum. " he said is a soft tone.

Before I Knew it I was Drifting off to sleep. Man was I tired, I just wanted to get better so I could leave this hell hole. I just want things to be Normal again.

Jason POV

As I stepped out the ward I saw Roger standing out side tapping his foot on the ground and his arms folded while Bailey sat down on one of the visiting chairs, and I swear she was speaking to the walls.

I made my way over to Roger, as I wanted him to see I wanted to listen to him. I mean in all fairness I do want to sort things out and work things out with Brooke, But I don't want to lie to her.

I didn't even walk halfway when Roger made his way to me. He grabbed my arm and began pulling me as he spoke. "We shall take this outside boy, I don't want Brooke to see this and get upset." he said in a Stern voice. I just nodded my head in return.

As we got outside he began to speak, "okay Jason, here's what's going to happen. You are going to wait until Friday and when Friday comes you are going to break up with her, in the least harsh way possible, understand?" he asked rhetorically.

I was about to speak when he put his hand in front of my mouth and spoke, "uh uh uhh, you don't get to speak, you do as I say and how I say, capeesh?" he said with a grin on his face. All I did was nod. He let go of my arm and I walked away as I spoke, "Goodbye Mr Shaw, and please send my regards to Mrs Shaw too." and I waved goodbye.

As I got home I looked at the time and it was 18:37, I thought to myself, if there's any chance of me getting Brooke back, I'm going to have to break up with Jessica. I mean now that I think about it, seeing Brooke again made me miss how we were and I wander why I ever hooked up with Jessica.

So I began to dial her number. My heart pounding faster than ever, this is a horrible way to break up with someone you've been with for about two years. What if I me-
My thoughts are cut off by Jessica's voice as she answers the phone.

"Hey marshmallow, I've missed you! " she said in such a cheerful voice.

" Hey Jess, uh can we please meet up somewhere we kinda need to talk. " I said firmly yet in a sad tone.

" uh, okay. What's going on Jason? " she said sounding worried.

" No, nothing, we just got to talk. Meet me at the coffee shop around the corner from your house in about ten minutes. " I said trying to sound happy.

" Okay, I'll leave now. See you in a bit " she replied but I couldn't quite figure out what emotion she was showing.

So I got in my car and began to drive to the coffee shop. As I parked my car and made my way into the shop I saw her sitting at a table waiting for me. I made my way to the table, as I got there she stood up and engulfed me in a hug and attempted to kissed me. I pulled back and directed her to sit down. As I took a seat myself I began to speak.

"Hey Jess"

"Hey Jason, what the hell is going on? "

"Jess, this is hard for me to explain"

"Try your best, it can't be that bad"

"Okay, here goes... Uh Jess, we have to break up "

Her eyes widened so big and I swear if it were a cartoon, steam would be coming out of her ears. She stood up and looked at me as she began to speak.

" WHAT? Jason, we've been together for two years and out of the blue your dumping me? What's going on. "

" I'm just not feeling this Jess, I haven't been for a long time, please understand "

" UNDERSTAND, YOU WANT ME TO UNDERSTAND! don't tell me what to do you shit head Ive loved you with everything I had and your dumping me like- like- like you dumped Brooke. " she said in a furious voice as a tear rolled down her eye.

" I'm sorry Jess " I said in a heartfelt tone as I walked out of the coffee shop and to my car.

As as I got to my car I heard her scream aloud," YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOUR MISSING, YOU'LL REGRET THIS ! YOUR GOING TO WANT ME BACK AND I WON'T WANT YOU JASON! "

I just drove away until I found myself outside the hospital, I slowly drove in and parked as I made my way back up to Brooke's ward. Before I walked closer I looked to see if her parents were present and to my luck they weren't here. I made my way into her ward where I saw her lying in the bed sleeping, I kissed her forehead and held her hand. Before I knew it I was falling asleep with my head resting on her bed. Being with her again made my heart race.

"I want to fix things this time around." was the last thing I whispered before I was fast asleep.
