It seemed like yesterday
In my glorious teenage years
My heart seemed to be in fear
About this word called love
And as if sent from above
You came clearing all doubts
I'm grateful you told me about
A love greater than your love
A love so unconditional
A love with no regrets
And now while I reminisce
My heart and pen rejoice
Dear dad, i'mma let ya know
In that love you made me know
Which is the love of Allah
I found eternal bliss
