Ace felt her heart freeze inside her chest, I am pregnant, she thought, her hand suddenly darting to her flat stomach.
"I'm going to be a mom," she whispered, panic suddenly rising within her, "Holy shit," she cursed.
"I know this is sudden," Destan blurted it out, his hands squeezing hers, "But I want to legitimize our child. I want us to marry, raise the child here."
Ace pulled away, her eyes growing wider by the second, "What about me? I'm human for christ sakes! The only reason I'm a mer is because I've drunk Morgan's potion!"
Confusion clouded Destan's features, "Do you not know?"
"Know what?" she growled.
A low chuckle rose from Destan's throat, confusing Ace, "You're a full mermaid."
"H-how?" she spoke, her brows furrowed in confusion.
She watched the white-haired mer shift close to her, bright blue eyes falling on her, an unknown emotion radiating from them, "The Diamond Goddess, my goddess, has taken your body as her anchor between our world and the celestial world."
Ace pondered over the thought. Everything she knew, everything she believed in was slowly starting to fall apart before her. Religion never played a big part in her life, she always thought that universe started by The Big Bang and that humans were life forms that revolutionized as the earth's climate changed. The word magic never existed in her vocabulary until Morgan gave her the potion. If anything, the wedding ceremony cleared any doubts of the word itself.
Now, she was expecting a child as well as being the host of a celestial being that she wasn't even sure that existed.
I do exist, a clear voice said in her, bouncing inside her mind sending reeling backwards and away from Destan's touch.
"Who are you?" she whispered, her eyes wide as she pressed herself against the wall, the cold kiss of diamonds digging into her skin. Fear crawled over her skin, the sudden thought that she had succumbed to lunacy flittered across her mind.
I am the Diamond Goddess. Patron of the Diamond Kingdom, the voice said. From the corner of her eyes she saw Destan leave the room as if he knew what was happening through her mind.
Great, she thought, I've a become schizophrenic.
You have not become a lunatic. King Destan knows about my presence in your body. You may have a hard time adjusting to the idea of my presence within you but things have started to happen that we must put a stop to before it spirals out of control.
"What do you mean? Is something going to happen?" she questioned, her hands immediately going to her abdomen, suddenly worried of the life that she now carried.
All in due time Aceso. For now, take advantage of the peace you have. Get to know Destan, he is lost within himself and you need to find him.
Aceso glanced at her fingers, normally used to holding pencils and papers, It must be difficult for him, she thought, her eyes darting to the open door of the room, her body moving on its own accord.
"Lady Aceso," Cassio said his bright eyes blinking, "Where are you going?"
"I need to find Destan," she answered breathlessly.
The light faery grinned and motioned for the other light faeries to follow, "We'll take you to him."

Desta rubbed his temple as glanced over the information that his father left behind. He would need to replace a few members of the council whose greed sought no help for the people of his kingdom. His own father never did seek to prosper the Diamond Kingdom. The coffers were full but the people's voices were barely heard. Tomorrow, he will announce to his people that a new king has risen to the throne.
Quite possibly a queen, but even that seems unlikely, he thought. A soft knock brought him out from his reflection, his hand instinctively reaching for his sword.
"Come in," he replied, his eyes staring warily at the door.
The door creaked open, his breath suddenly catching in his throat, "Aceso."
Dark hair framed her petite form, blue scales covering the side of her body, a blue binding covering her chest, "Can I talk to you for a second?"
Destan nodded, setting the scrolls aside, motioning for her to take a seat before him. He wanted to ask her so many questions, but simply having her here left him unable to speak.
Aceso approached him, taking her seat, brown eyes landing on his.
"I am not going to take up your offer," she replied.
Pain sliced through his chest. How? Just a few moments ago it looked like she loved him, or had he read that wrong? He opened his lips to speak but Aceso raised her hand, silencing him.
"You only want to marry me for the child. It's very noble of you but I would hate to tie you down in such a manner," the woman snapped.
Suddenly everything made sense to him. He had offended her, undermining her ability to raise a merchild. He wanted to laugh at his callous proposal, instead he rose, taking her small fingers into his.
"Aceso, you will not tie me down. I love you Aceso and I need you by my side. I need you as my lover, my wife, my queen and a mother to our child," he whispered, his hand cupping her cheek, "Will you marry me Aceso?"
He watched tears slip from her eyes and float away, "Yes," she spoke, their lips colliding against each others.

The Coronation Ceremony was a small affair, something official that need to be done in front of the King's Council, a group of grumpy looking men and a single mermaid.
"Ren!" Morgan cried out, grabbing her attention, "Are you ready?"
The Queen nodded being careful with the emerald crown that circled her brow. Her body had been painted with the blood of each member of the royal family, the blood of her husband and her brother in law. Much to her fear of her newfound family losing so much blood, she relented after being told that they could heal much faster due to their blue blood running in their veins.
"Yeah, I am ready," she murmured, clenching her blood stained fingers as she rose to the top of the emerald column they had used during the wedding. Carefully, she settled into a comfortable sitting position, her tail tucked beneath her.
Rest your hands on your lap, close your eyes and focus on Morgan's voice, the goddess within her spoke as her own body obeyed her commands.
She heard Morgan's voice echo around her, a sudden warmth enveloping her body.
Just one week, was her last thought before her consciousness faded into darkness.

The army moved, swords glinting in the sunlight that filtered through the water, black armor clashing against pale skin.
"Your Majesty," his faithful subject said. His appearance was abnormal, with spikes protruding from his back to his black tail, talons growing from his webbed fingers, A Rekuvoyaiac, he thought.
"What is it?" he growled, his other servant adjusting the sleek armor around his well trained body.
"We are at a crossroads between the Diamond King and the Emerald Kingdom," Elric spoke.
Caspian, the Onyx King, grinned, "Good. Split the army in two. I'll attack the Diamond Kingdom, you will take the other half to the Emerald Kingdom."
Elric bowed his head in acknowledgment of the order, "Yes, your Majesty."
