"Hello Sean! Nice too meat you! I'm Dr. Barnes but you can call me Wade. How are you feeling?" The therapist, Wade, asks. Sean sighs grumpily before shrugging.
"I'm fine. I don't even know why I'm here." Sean groans.
"You're here because you have a problem. Tell me about Make." Wade says softly. Sean facepalms.
"His name is Mark. Not Make. Mark. He is part American part Korean and has blue hair. He wears a black shirt with a pink mustache on them and blue jeans." Sean explains wearily. Wade nods slowly and writes something down on his pad of paper. When Wade finally looks back up at Sean, he takes a deep breath.
"Sean... I'm going to be blunt with you. I think you need to visit an asylum. Your condition could become dangerous and I'd rather us not have to deal with that. It will be hard at first, trust me, I understand, but I do believe it could help your... problem." Wade explains slowly. It takes a few seconds for Sean to take in this new found knowledge, but once he does a slacked jaw is all he can muster. Wade sighs. "I know you're scared."
"I- I don't have a problem. I- I am perfectly fine, Mark tells me so every night. I can't go to an asylum and just leave him behind." Sean stutters out, trying to make the most convincing puppy-eyes possible.
"He's not-" Wade starts but Sean is already broken enough, so he stops.
"W-When do I- I have t- to leave?" Sean whispers, attempting not to break into tears. Wade looks to a small calendar and counts a bit.
"3 days..." He responds softly. Sean nods, but speaks up again, standing up.
"He's a real person Wade. Mark, I mean. Maybe not in this universe but somewhere, someone is getting to live a fairy-tale storybook with him. I know it." He walks out of the small office and drives home.
