Chogatsu woke up as one of the masters entered his room. It was Monk Gyatso.
He had a worried and sad expression on his face. He sat down on the edge of Chogatsu's bed and looked down into the floor. Chogatsu gently rubbed his eyes and sat up. "Monk Gyatso, can I help you with anything?"
"Have you spoken to Aang recently?" He asked, with a shaking tone.
"Well, yes, we talked about his bison." Chogatsu replied, slightly tilting his head.
G: "Did he mention anything about him wanting to run away?"
"Oh, no.. Not that I can remember at least.. Why?" A worried tone arose as he finished the sentence.
G: "Aang has gone missing, and nobody has seen him nor his bison. Could you ask around and see if anyone knows anything?"
Chogatsu nodded and stood up. "Alright."
Gyatso left the room, leaving the door open for Chogatsu.
Chogatsu got up and got dressed, grabbed his staff and started to walk towards the door. He could hear some of the nomad children playing in the distance, and bisons roaring as they flew through the skies. He left the room and closed the door behind him, careful to lock the door so no playing children could enter and make his room into a mess.
He walked down the stone corridor, the floor decorated with different coloured stone tablets. On the roof and some places on the walls there was paintings of sky bison, air nomads, paintings of the lion turtles that the first air nomads lived on during the era of Raava. He came to the exit of the part of the temple where all the nomads had their living quarters, a bit away from where the nuns had theirs. The beds were made mainly out of stone with a pile of hay and a blanket lying on top.
Some nomads didn't sleep at all, they just meditated. Chogatsu had always been impressed with how the monks meditated instead of sleeping. He tried it once but he fell asleep while meditating in a not so comfortable pose, so his back had hurt for a week. He walked out in the courtyard and looked around, no sign of Aang anywhere. He decided to walk to Aang's room and see if he left any trace after him.
After some time of walking, he arrived to Aang's room. He opened the door and inside was Gyatso, holding a parchment in his hand while standing and staring with an empty stare at the parchment.
Chogatsu walked up to him as Gyatso showed him the parchment, the first words he saw was "..我已經決定了要離開天空寺廟.." Which meant ".. I have decided to leave the air temple.." He didn't have to see one more word to realise that Aang was gone, and with him, the avatar was aswell.
Gyatso sat down at the edge of Aang's bed, and sighed deeply. "It.. Was my fault.. If I just had-."
Chogatsu stopped him in the middle of his sentence and said. "Aang made this choice himself, you couldn't do anything about it." Gyatso nodded, and without a word he left the room. Chogatsu followed and closed the door as he left.
