Let's leave our striped compadre alone for a while and focus on the princess of the gallows herself shall we?
Liz Thompson... Street Criminal, born and raised on her own. Took whatever she wanted. She... Was blushing?!
"W-what? No this can't be happening." Liz said while looking in a mirror. "Am I sick or something? What is this?! The last time I-" her words cut off there as she froze looking at her pink stained face. She couldn't believe it. No one could make her blush, not even all the guys at the academy combined. Her though process was cut off with a patterned knock came from her door, shortly after came the high pitched giggle from her younger sister.
"Hey big siiiiiis! The movies starting come on!" Patty exclaimed standing on her tippy toes leaning against the door to try and hear her.
"U-uh... Are you sure you want me Patty? This should be a special night for you and Crona." Liz said trying to calm herself down eradicating as much of the blush as possible.
Patty nodded, of course Liz couldn't see it through the door. But she did it anyways. "Yea of course I want you there! I'm dragging Kid along too!" Her loud voice alerted the young grim reaper making him poke his head from his bedroom door
"Excuse me?" He questioned looking in the direction of Patty.
Patty giggled turning towards Kid. "That's right Kiddo-kun I'm forcing you to join us!"
Kid sighed and tries to come up with a quick excuse. "Patty... I have a lot of work for father to do today, I'll join you guys next time."
a huge grin formed on Patty's face as she knew Kid was a terrible liar. "Nice try Kiddo-kun, we all know you suck at lying now come on!" She charged towards his door before he could shut it and dragged him out yelling while she passed Liz's door. "You better come down big sis before I drag you out too!" She giggled walking downstairs the back of kids collar grasped firmly in her hand.
"Grrreeeaaat..." Liz mumbled while plopping down onto her bed. First the blush now she's forced to watch some lame movie. She forced herself to get up and walk down the stairs, seeing a view she couldn't help but laugh at.
At the bottom of the stairs she could see the couple kissing as kid was still prisoner at pattys grasp. Noticing Liz standing at the bottom of the stairs he mouthed the words "help." The older sister waited for a bit enjoying the laugh before she walked up and pulled Patty and Crona apart.
"That's enough you two save it for the movie. And Patty let go of Kid."
Patty looked down seeing an agitated Kid on the ground next to them. "Oops! Sorry!" She laughed releasing Kid as he stood up and immediately started adjusting his clothes to be as crisp and pristine as they always were, mumbling somethings to himself.
"What was that Kiddo?" Patty questioned
"Nothing... Let's just get this over with." He replied dully sitting on the other side of the couch as far away from the two love birds as possible. Of course that leaves Liz to sit inbetween Kid and Patty, which she awkwardly accepted.
Patty nudged Liz and she started the movie. "It's your favorite sis! A horror movie" she said with the biggest grin on her face.
"H-horror... Movie...?" Liz's teeth chattered at the mention of horror, of course not wanting to seem weak she tightened up her posture and said with the upmost of confidence, "you're right, it is my favorite. Thanks Patty" showing a forced smile.
"Oh... No problem!" The grin turned into a giggle and she snuggled up against Crona while the room turned dark.
Kid knew what was happening, he knew of Liz's fear of monsters. So why was she trying to be so tough? Couldn't she see that he had the perfect view to see her shaking in terror?
He gently places one hand on her shoulder giving a half smile and having the softest voice possible for him. "Don't worry Liz, nothing will happen I promise."
Liz face turned from the skin color it had always been to a cherry red streak masking her cheeks. "Y-yea... Thanks kid..." She replied with a smile and lost her posture leaning back into the couch.

About a few minutes into the movie is when the scares had started. They weren't too bad, but they were bad enough to have Crona and Patty cowering in fear with each other and Liz gripping onto a pillow like its her life. Kid just sort of say there. Bored. Of course horror movies don't effect a grim reaper such as himself, he's seen worse. But looking at Liz's position he knew he had to do something.
Gently placing his hand atop of the teenage girls, he whispered these words into her ear. "It's alright ok? I've got you nothing will happen."
These words took her back to when they first had met. That's when she had Patty pointed right at his temple ready to shoot. And when he had called them both beautiful and promised them protection. Her face was as red as it is now. "Kid-"
Her sentence was short lived when a jump-scare appeared on the screen causing Liz to release the pillow and instead embrace Kid in a warm by cowardly hug. As well as an added in scream of terror. Kid could feel the blush starting up again on his skin and he quickly put his arm around Liz comforting her.
"It's alright Liz... I've got you don't worry." He said with a faint smile. Liz still shaking and clinging onto him.
This continued for the next few scenes of the movie until the big scare was to come. Of course Kid expected it due to the evident clues shown throughout the movie. He didn't want to say anything though, he wanted to preserve the moment as much as possible. Especially with Liz so close to him. He didn't know what to expect, would she push her head against him? Grip onto him tighter pulling him close? He was anticipating her reaction, his mind wandering off to where he was just in his thoughts.
"Agh!" Kid found himself curled up onto the floor holding onto his stomach. What had just happened...?
"Oh my death Kid!" Liz is exclaimed as she knelt down beside him on the ground. "Are you ok?! I'm so sorry!" Trying to help him up on his feet she couldn't help but feel terrible for what she'd done. Added with the boisterous giggles emitting from her little sister and the worried and scared mumbles coming from Crona, she felt even worse.
Kid couldn't help but put on a little smile of himself as he got up still leaning over his stomach. "Y-yes, I'm fine... I'll just excuse myself now." Slowly going up the stairs he couldn't help but think to himself. Out of all the years he'd known Liz he never had thought she could pack quite a punch. Although it was more of an elbow than anything but still, he was amazed.
He'd gotten into his room and shut the door, immediately he sat on the edge of his bed looking at himself in the mirror. He was still in his daytime suit, and it's already 8:00. Meantime, Liz did nothing but feel more and more terrible as time passed. She had go check on him, certainly she'd rather be there than be in front of a horror movie with the power couple of the year kissing it up. She got up and slowly made her way to Kids room, hesitant to knock. Did he even want to see her? Taking a deep breathe in she slowly opened the door, revealing Kid standing there holding his shirt, not a speck of cloth to be on his upper body. She quickly closed the door and leaned against it, the deep breathe she had taken quickly escaped her as she put her hand to her chest feeling her heart pump rapidly. What was this feeling? Noticing the door closing quickly, Kid turned his head and questioned as to who could've been there at that time. He put on his shirt and walked out opening the door. As he opened it he saw nothing but hallway.
"Who was that...?" He mumbled to himself as he looked left and right before secluding back into his room. Little did he know the oldest of the two Thompson sisters was hiding right at the edge of the hallway behind the corner of the wall.
"W-what... Was that..." She said to herself, staying close to the wall as close as possible until she thought it was safe to walk through the hallway into her room.
