My mom has just gotten back from talking to the doctor.
"So what happened?" I ask.
"They don't know but they don't think Luke is going to make it through the night," she says with tears streaming down her face.
"No... This can't be happening," I say and start crying.
"I'm sorry honey," she says and hugs me. Then kisses the top of my head.
"Can can I see him?" I say.
"Yes," she says.
Without a second thought I run straight to Luke's room. I hold his hand, it's as cold as ice. I kiss the top of his forehead once more. Then whisper, "I love you Luke."
He mumbles something. It sounded like I love you.
Beep....... Beep........ Beep......
Beep.....
......
He's gone. Tears start streaming down my face.
