"You don't need to do anything," I say.
"Luke don't say that. We want to help. You just have to let us," Lilly says.
"You don't need to help. It's hopeless," I say. Then I go walk out the front door of the house.
The cool breeze makes me cringe, but then my skin relaxes. The breeze feels good, even though I'm only in shorts and a t-shirt.
I grab the soccer ball that's lying in the yard. Then I start walking to the field that's only about 3 minutes away.
"Luke!" Someone shouts from behind me. Lilly.
"What?" I ask, turning around.
"Where are you going?" She asks.
"To the fields," I say, "Why?"
"I just thought maybe you would want to spend time with Mom and me right now," she says.
"Leave me alone!" I snap back at her. Then I turn and run towards the fields.
As soon as Lilly is out of sight. I stop running and start walking. The fields are right up ahead.
I used to play here all the time with my best friend Isaac. He was really good at soccer. We used to do lots of different tricks. We also did parkour. Because right now I'm suffering from blood cancer. It has spread to my bones, which makes me weaker.
It just makes me weak. I am a weakling. I'm just a stupid weak boy. Lilly on the other hand is the bravest and strongest girl in the entire world. She's not afraid to stand up for something she believes in. She's not afraid of anything really, except spiders.
I start to kick the ball around some and I see some other kids. Some I probably know.
"Luke!!!!"
I turn around and see my lovely yet very idiotic sister, Lilly.
"Yeah?" I say.
"Where were you going?" She asks.
"I thought I told you, I was going to th-"
My world goes black, I feel my body hitting something hard. The last thing I remember is Lilly calling my name.
