Nico sat in his room, trying to figure out who exactly Snape was working for, thoughts and theories swirled in his head, but he discarded them, one by one, agreeing that they were nonsense. After a couple of hours just sitting there, in the dark he decided it was time to stop hiding and to come out and face the waves of students that would question him. Just then he felt a ringing in his ears, somebody close to Harry had just died. He stood upruptly and ran to the door. Then he remebered his weapons. Stupid, he thought to himself, who would go out to battle and forget their own weapons ? He then thought of his destination, Dumbledor's office. He vanished into the shadows and reappeardd in, what apparently looked like an abandoned office. He sighed, surely Dumbledore had something he could use to find Harry. He spotted a bowl in Dumbledore's desk and walked over to it. He just saw water and murky shapes. Then he focused on Fawk. He turned to the bird

"Uh..Do you know where I can find your master?" he asked, feeling stupid for talking to a bird, but Fawkes cawed and abruptly turned his head to the paintings. Oh, nico had forgotten the paintings moved. "Do you know where I can find the headmaster?" he asked. All the paintings started talking at once. Nico discerned one word. Order of the Phoenix. What in Hade's name was the Order of the Phoenix? and more important, why had no one ever told to him about this if it would help Harry.

It was always like this people didn't customer love to tell him everything and he was fed up with it he decided that if he was going to find out about the secret order he would do it in his own way. He opened Dumbledore's drawer. He flipped through his papers and found nothing. He felt growled in frustration.

"Ghosts of Hogwarts, the Ghost King summons you" pale specters appeared "look for a photo of the Order Of The Phoenix" he commanded. The ghosts vanished. Son after the had left another spectre appeared. He brought with him a photo, the size of a map. Well, the photo wasn't actually in his hands, ghosts couldn't interact with objects...Peeves, the poltergeist hovered the object in front of him, cowering. Nico scowled at the ghost sending a clear thought to the ghost, get out. The ghost fled, going right through the wall. Nico looked at the photo and saw a building that had an antique look. He flipped it. On the back it had a date and location, London. He pictured the room and the place. He then felt his surroundings fade and he slipped into the world of the shadows. The shadows seemed to whisper, to hold him down. join us they whispered you are a disgrace, you are responsible for Bianca's death, you have kept yourself away, join us. Nico felt his control over the shadows slip, he clawed desperately at his memories. He then flashed into one of the moments most important of his life, when he found out about his mother. It hadn't been his happiest moments, but it had been one of the most important ones, since Bianca wasn't there anymore to find out about what really happened to their mother, he had carried out the job. He still remembered it as if it were yesterday. He flashed back, and he saw this in an external point of view
He saw himself alone in the gardens of Hades. He'd just dug a hole in one of Persephone's flower beds, hadn't made the queen very happy.
He poured a goblet of wine into the hole and began to chant. "Let the dead taste again. Let them rise and take this offering. Maria di Angelo, show yourself!"

 Maria di Angelo, show yourself!"

White smoke gathered. A human figure formed, but it hadn't been his mother. It had been a girl with dark hair, olive skin, and the silvery clothes of a Hunter.
"Bianca," he had said. "But—"
"Don't summon our mother, Nico" she warned. She is the one spirit you are forbidden to see.
"Why?" he demanded. "What's our father hiding?"
"Pain" Bianca had said. "Hatred. A curse that stretches back to the Great Prophecy.
"What do you mean?" he had asked. "I have to know!"
"The knowledge will only hurt you. Remember what I said: holding grudges is a fatal flaw for children of Hades" A feeling of rage had coursed through his body. It had surprised him but he also found a logic to it. His was grown enough to make his own decisions.
"I know that, but I'm not the same as I used to be, Bianca. Stop trying to protect me!"

"Brother, you don't understand—

Nico swiped his hand through the mist, and Bianca s image dissipated. He never realized that would be the last time he would see her.
"Maria di Angelo," he said again. "Speak to me!"
A different image formed. It was a scene rather than a single ghost. In the mist, I saw Nico and Bianca as little children, playing in the lobby of an elegant hotel, chasing each other around marble columns.
A woman sat on a nearby sofa. She wore a black dress, gloves, and a black veiled hat like a star from an old 1940s movie. She had Bianca's smile and his eyes. Seeing his mother jarred Nico out of his flashback, when he regained his senses he realized he had shadowtraveled to a building that looked quite old. It had crystal balls on the shelves and the way the cobwebs hung to ihem made him realize that those things had been sitting there for a long time. Too long. He looked at them. Each was labelled. He saw one that was missing. The label put Harry Potter, but where the ball should've been there was nothing except broken cobwebs. Which meant this had been taken recently. He looked around for traces but found none. All of a sudden explosions ricocheted into the hall and creating an echo. He cursed and sent a prayer to his father that he would find Harry in time. He didn't really need Harry alive except by the fact that he would most of the job. Which would save Nico the time to do it. He had never forgotten the real reason he was helping the potter boy. A soul for a soul. He had failed Bianca once, he wouldn't this time. For Hazel, for Frank, For the seven.
