Living With Mindless Behavior

Chapter 3

I woken up to the laughter of Kayla as she watched The Regular Show. I sat up and rubbed my eyes. Kayla noticed that I was woke, she turned and slightly smiled.

"Thought you was going to sleep all day"

"What time is it" I said sliding out of bed and standing up to stretch.

"4pm" Kayla said turning her attention back to the tv show "It's some cereals or food in the fridge if you hungry... i'll fix it if you want me to"

"Okay I'll eat after I freshen up" I said

Kayla got up and headed towards her closet. She pulled out a tote of closets then stood back. "This all the clothes you left here"

"Didn't know I left that many clothes here" I bent down and went through the clothes. Picking out a grey tee shirt, dark jeans, a bra, socks & underwear. I stood up and walked over to the door.

"The towels and wash rags still in the same spot" Kayla said

"Okay" I said before walking out the room and into the hall. I walked into the bathroom, shutting and locking the door behind me. I placed my closets onto the empty shelf. I got a towel and wash rag out the cabinet then turn the shower on. I took off my clothes and got into the shower. Humming the lyrics to Band-Aid by Mindless Behavior.

After 10 minutes I finished washing up then got out and dried over, getting dressed afterwards. I applied some lotion then grabbed my dirty items and unlocking the bathroom door.I walked out the bathroom and into Kayla's room. I threw my items into her hamper. I noticed Kayla wasn't in her room, I grabbed a rubber band, placing my hair into a ponytail. I walked out her room and down the hall into the living room. Kayla was talking on the phone with someone. I walked into the kitchen and grabbed the box of Frosted Flakes from out the cabinet. I grabbed a bowl and a spoon, I poured some cereals in the bowl then placed the box back and went into the fridge for the milk. I grabbed the milk and poured some into the bowl of cereals. I placed the milk back then went and sat at the kitchen table.

"Tiana"

I turned around "Huh"

"Here she is" Kayla said, handing me the house phone. I grabbed the phone and placed it to my ear

"Hello" I said

"Hey Tiana"

"Hey Mrs.B" I said

"How are you feeling today?"

"Not okay but fine" I said

"Glad to hear you being strong, don't want to sadden our conversation dear since I have good news"

"Good news?" I said

"Yes, well a little bit of bad news but it's a good outcome... I called a few of your relatives and majority of them didn't respond and declined for you to come stay" Mrs. Bailey said before taking a pause "Good news is a uncle of yours would love for you to come stay, Of course I checked his background turns out he's a well known guy"

"A uncle?" I said

"Yes he's your mother's younger brother"

"I never heard about him, when will I go to stay with him?" I asked

"Well I'll chat with him about that then contact you" Mrs.Bailey said
