Aizen's eyes widened.

If I wasn't so aggravated, I swear I saw excitement in his eyes.

"What?? What is it?!" I asked, irritated.

He only chuckled, shutting his eyes.

I narrowed my eyes at him. This was getting annoying. First, he demands to speak to me alone, only to look into my eyes for the ten most awkward seconds of my life.

"Lachesis."

I frowned. What is he muttering about now?

"What?"

"Lachesis came to you and wiped your memory. She didn't have much faith that you would keep her secret." Aizen said with a stupid grin on his face.

"Who the hell is Lachesis??"

"We are most familiar to her as the giver of fate."

I frowned. "Why the hell would she come to me and then wipe my memory?"

"Because she has sealed the thread of fate within your soul."

I jolted back in alarm, placing my hand over my heart.

"What?"

"Now, don't go off telling your friends, especially my wife. No one else must know." He warned me with his "intimidating" expression.

"Why the hell would she hide the weapon that can destroy the world inside of me?!" I snapped.

Wait.

Arachne is trying to recreate the new thread of fate, when she thinks the original has been destroyed. How the hell is that supposed to work out?

Aizen smiled.

"That's the thing. It's not supposed to work out." He said.

It was as if he read my mind. That creep.

"If she completes the new thread of fate, which she won't, it won't work. One must have at least a small sliver of the original before trying to recreate it."

"We need to get Rukia out of there." I said, not caring about the threads of fate. I knew that if she stayed there any longer, she would be long gone by the time we would get to her.

"Don't worry. She's fine." Aizen assured me.

I rolled my eyes. "How would you know?"

"I just spoke with her."

"What??!"

Aizen chuckled.

"What did she say??"

"Nothing. I just told her to stay put and take care of her self until you come for her."

"Me?" He mentioned me?

"Yes. Because you will be the one to save her from that hell hole."
