Rachel

I walked into my house, my big brother greeting me with a warm smile.

"How was school?" He asked, watching me set my stuff down in the kitchen.

"It was good." I said cheerfully, grabbing a apple and taking a huge bite.

I ran upstairs, collapsing on my bed and finishing my apple quickly, throwing the core in a nearby trash can. My heart was racing though.

I had a crush on a guy named Kyle. He was sweet, attractive, kind..

I think I love him to be completely honest, but we're just friends.

And he's dating my friend Alexis.

I watched a couple horror movies and ended up staying awake till midnight like usual, setting my alarm for 5 in the morning.

I closed my eyes and tried to sleep, but I couldn't.

Kyle was on my mind.

I had to tell him how I feel.
