Vulnerable

I debated to go into the forest or go into town. If i went into to the forest I would be lost, but free nonetheless. But if I went into town, someone would find me and take me home again. I chose the forest, there's no way in hell I'm going back to that hell hole called a house. Many people might think it wasn't that big of a deal to live there, but sometimes I would be caught up in their cross fire, often getting hit by plates, vases and glasses. I was just tired of it all, and while growing up like that, seeing my father beat my mother at times, I didn't know if it was right or wrong to hit a woman. I'm guessing it's the right thing. Although dad hadn't beaten my (and she hadn't beaten him either) mother since my tenth birthday. Snap! The sound broke me out of my thoughts and I shivered. Either it was me stepping on a twig, or it was someone else. The moon didn't give enough light for me to look around and see something, which made me extremly annoyed. 'I really wish I brought a flashlight or some shit..' I thought, looking around as more twigs broke. I was very vulnerable, I knew that much, but I still kept walking. I only stopped when a loud growl echoed around me. Oh great, a fucking wolf! Couldn't it have been an bunny or some shit? Like come on man, why did it have to be just a wolf. I groaned loudly and turned around, seeing bright eyes staring right at me. ''Fuck off, I'm not in the mood'' I scoffed, turning around again. Deep laughter made me freeze in my spot. ''Wow, aren't you a feisty one?'' A deep, kinda sexy voice whispered in my ear. I screeched in shook, turned around and karate chopped whoever the fuck it was. A yelp followed soon after and I squinted, trying to see who it was. "The fuck are you?" I asked myself. The man growled. "You fucking bitch, who the hell do you think you are?!" The man shouted. "Ashley Drewsoon, how 'bout you?" I answered automatically. The man chuckled darkly and I snorted. "Yeeah, chuckling isn't going to scare me" I said while snickering. A sudden burst of light exploded over us, showing me the man's features. He had a tank top on with the words "Spread the word" printed on it. He also wore ripped jeans, no shoes and.... Dog ears and a tail? I automatically reached up and started to rub them. They were soft and fuzzy. The man, or boy i should say, yelped in shock as a heavy blush coated his cheeks. "H-hey! Let t-them go!" He yelled, but I could hear the small moan in it. He gripped my wrist tightly and pulled it away from the seemingly real ears. "Okay, I was going to kill you, but you give the best ear rubs, so your coming with me instead" He said, pulling me closer by the waist. "Hey! You still haven't told me your name!" I half-yelled. The boy chuckled again and picked me up bridal style. "Names Smile Dog, but you can call me Smile" He yelled before he started running. I yelled in shock and clung to him for dear life as the trees zoomed past us. It felt like he ran for hours, and I couldn't help but scream everytime Smile jumped over logs. It didn't help that he smelled like complete shit eitheir. When he finally let me down I puked, literally as soon as he put me down. "Woah, calm down there" He chuckled as he moved my hair out of my face. "Where's my suitcase?" I mumbled while wiping my mouth. "Oh, I'll run and get it right now, just sit here and do NOT go into that mansion." The way he said the "not" made me shiver. 'But why tho?' I thought as I sat down, playing with the hem of my skirt. I didn't know Smile that well, and even though he smelled like shit, he still had that older brother feeling. I shook my head and looked up when I heard a screech. My eyes widened in fear and I leaned back a little from the creature. Without thinking I brought a foot up and slammed it into the chest of the thing, sending it flying back with a painful screech. I shot up from the grund and stepped back a little more as it stood up, crouching in an pouncing position. Where the fuck was Smile?! I let out a blood curling scream on instict, which sent the thing to the ground while screeching itself. I frowned and heard running footsteps. "Ash what happened?!" Smile's voice rang out. I pointed at the creature. "Oh.." Was all he said. "Well let's bring you inside." He grabbed me by the waist and pulled me to the door. "W-wait! What about that thing?!" I exclaimed making him chuckle. "He'll be fine, now c'mon, I wanna show off my new sister!" He said, sounding like a little child on christmas.
