Elaine, what the hell are you doing?" Skyler said to the girl in front of her."You know that is probably the stupidest thing you have ever done and yet, you are at the same time, so very smart."She was trying to curl the ends of her silky, straight purple hair.
"You're going to burn your ends off." Skyler stated.
"What? I'm not cute like this?" she said twisting the curls around her fingers.
Purple hair, purple glasses, purple everything.....Yep! My best friend's favorite color is indeed purple, Skyler thought.
"Elaine! Stop trying to be someone you're not. I can understand it is our first day at a new high school, but you are not Elle Woods!" Skyler remarked, referring to the girls' favorite movie.
"Well who the hell said I was? Maybe I am JUST trying to look nice for once!" Elaine snapped back.
"Who the hell cares!?!"
"ME of course! Gah! Skyler, it isn't that I think other people will care, I just want to look different for once in my life! If people are gonna call me a freak because for some fricking reason, I was born with naturally purple hair, doesn't that mean I can atleast make it look nicer!" Elaine said, trying to sound as serious as her goofy nature would let her.
"But that's what I love about you, Elaine. The fact that you're naturally different. You're not a freak. You're a fricking goddess."
"Eh, I guess...but it's too late! I'm already done Miss Youz gonna burn your ends offffffffffff" Elaine responded.
Skyler rolled her eyes."Whatever, let's go I am not being late on the first day of school, mkay?"
Both girls walked out of their shared apartment.Yes, they did indeed share an apartment seen as both girls, though only 14, their parents sent them to a boarding school, meaning they had to get a house. Not, only were they smart , the girls had jobs. They were supposed to be interns, but the guy they work for ended up paying them anyway. The girls worked at a coffee shop named "Croissants and Coffee Cafe" that was owned by some rich guy by the name of Mark Callister. (A/N: now before you ask, the minimum age for a minor (under 18) to work is in fact 14 in most states. :P)"So, you have all your supplies Ellie?" Skyler asked, her bluish-black hair swaying in the wind.
"Yes mom!" Elaine responded.
Skyler rolled her eyes once again. "Yeah, yeah, whatever."
"By the way, did you realize that it's only 6 am?"
"Yeah, we should stop by the cafe. I want a muffin."
"Oh Skyler, you're hopeless. Fine. I grant you the permission to get a cupcake without frosting." Elaine replied, waving her arm like she was holding a wand.
After the painfully long walk through the parking lot, the girls finally made it to their bus stop.
"Meh. I can't wait until we get our own car. I don't wanna have to get on the bus 2 times..."
Elaine groaned.
"I know, sucks to be 14." Skyler replied.
"As if! I would love be 14 right about now!" A boy said from behind them. He had brown hair and the bluest eyes.
"Uh, who the hell are you?" Elaine questioned the young gentleman.
"The name's Bond, James Bond....." He said mysteriously.
Elaine was bursting out into fits of giggles, laughing uncontrollably.
"Uh huh... What's your real name?" Skyler retorted on the verge of laughter.
