Tough love

It was the first day of summer. I just woke up and went to the bathroom. While I was in there, I noticed there was a huge spider on the wall. I threw a hair brush at it and it fell on the carpet. It didn't help the fact that the carpet was black and so was the spider. So I ran out of the bathroom and went downstairs for some breakfast.

When I got to the kitchen , I decided I was having a bowl a cereal. I looked at the clock... 8:47 a.m. "I thought summer was when kids slept in".

I looked up it was just my mom "good morning mom".

"Good morning Marie" she said with a smile. "How come you're up so early".

"I don't know maybe I'm different" I said.

"Mail came today" she said.

"Did my letter from the university come today?".

Yes it did and here you are"

"Thanks" I said.

"You're welcomec now open it already lets find out!" she said anxiously.

I love my mom she is always there for me. She wants the best for me. I love her smile. "Alright give me a second".

"Okay I'm sorry I'm just anxious" she said.

"Thats alright I am too" I said.

I slowly open the letter and then paused for a second and to let the suspense come rolling in. I slowly read the first line out loud. "Marie Evens, congratulations you have been accepted to attend the university of Paris".

After I read that my mother and I just and dances happily around the kitchen. My mom was so excited she decided to take me to my favorite restaurant for dinner!.

"I KNEW YOU WOULD GET INTO THAT SCHOOL!!!" she said.

"Thank you for believing I would" I said.

She told me we were going out for dinner at six. So I figured I would go upstairs and take a shower in the moms bathroom. I mean I wouldn't want to take one in mine because who knows where that spider could be. So I grabbed a pair of jean shorts blue plaid button up shirt, and other undergarments.

I went in my moms bathroom and started my shower. After I was done I dried off and put my clothes on, I ran to my bathroom and got my makeup, curling iron, hair brush and tooth brush. After that I went back to my moms bathroom and started brushing my hair, dried my hair of with my towel , brushed my hair again, and started curling my hair and then I did my makeup. So after that I took everything back to my bathroom . I went to my room. and grabbed a pair of black flip-flops.

After I got my flip-flops and put them on, I went downstairs and told my mom I was going to my firms Adrians houseto share the news. So I got my purse and my car keys. I went outside and got in my jeep wrangler I got for my 16th birthday. So on my way over to Adrians house I started calling my boyfriend Aiden.

"Hello" he said in his deep voice, I could tell he just woke up.

"Hey babe you know how I wanted to go to Paris, Well now is my chance I got accepted to a university there."

"Oh that's great i'm happy for you, well have fun"he said. "Can you make it to my football practice later?".

"Yeah I will later I'm on my way over to Adrians right now"

"Alright. well bye love you see you later then" he said.

"Yeah I love-". He already ended the call.

When I got to Adrians house , I went to knock on the door but it was already open. So I just walked into the living room and noticed Adrian lying on her couch so I poked her and she woke up.
