Chapter 4 Walking Through Hell

Onyx went back to the Overworld early that morning and sat outside. Patrick walked out slowly with a look of worry written all over his face.
" So he came back after I left?" Onyx questioned standing up.
" About five hours later but we thought he would've come back with you." He responded.
" At first until he went crazy. Anyway did he do anything?"
" Weeeelllllll... You'll see..." Alex burst out the door laughing. When Alex stopped in front of Patrick, he pulled down Alex's hood revealing him having short hair and bandages covering his left eye." What the hell?! Why did you do this!?" Onyx questioned frantically nagging about Alex's actions.
" Well Wendy loved my long hair so I cut it. But the eye was an accident..." He started laughing again out of no where and put his hood back on.
" Patrick, do you think you can help get him to my dad. I'm sure he would fix em up."
" I guess but I don't think he'll go that easily. We might have to bribe him."
" How bout with booze, or tell him he could get his leg back."
" I think the leg might work." Patrick walked back over to Alex and talked to him while Onyx opened a portal. Five minutes later Patrick came back with Alex standing behind Onyx.
" Ok so when we jump through, don't touch ANYTHING. You could possibly end a human's life for no reason." Onyx explained as they walked through the portal.
" Hey honey, what're you doing back so soon. And why did you bring humans?"
The devil was standing at a desk.
" Sigh- these are some friends. But I need you to help the one over there." Onyx points to a laughing/crying Alex.
" Oh right, the insane one who got dumped. I've been checking up on you."
" Oh yeah? Stalker..." Alex replied to his comment.
" Anyway ..." The devil lifted his hand and fixed his eye.
"There now get out." Alex pulls out his pills and takes 11. Onyx questions what they are and he tosses her the pill bottle. It was white with a scratched off blue label. The only thing that was actually readable was "-illers".
" They're pain killers... Aren't they..." Onyx face palms. Alex just shrugs as Onyx rushes over and does the hemlock maneuver causing Alex to cough up the pills.
" hey! I need those!" Alex exclaimed falling to his knees.
" Your gonna over doce! You did the same thing yesterday!" Onyx yelled opening a portal. They all follow her out bickering Patrick being the only sane one there. Right after they leave Alex cursed to himself grabbing his chest.
" Please I need the pain killers..." Alex pleaded until Patrick backed him up.
" Just show her..." Alex nodded lifting up his sweater slowly. Behind all the scars and bruises was a heart. The heart was beating slowly and getting slower.
" Now please, let me have them back..."
Onyx thought about it and tossed him the bottle worried. Alex caught them and took his usual over doce. The heart started beating faster and more normal.
" Sigh- Thank you..." Alex mumbled.
" I'm sorry... You should've told me sooner... You could have died and it would've been my fault." Onyx apologized.
" Ok enough of this ooey gooey shit lets go." The group walked back to the mansion Onyx running off to get some stuff.

An few hours later
" That should be enough." Onyx flipped out her phone and called Alex.
Patrick picked up.
" Hey..." He said in a worried tone.
" Hey! Why didn't Alex answer?"
" Weeeellll, I was outside and I'm guessing he chucked it out the window and it hit me in the head."
" I'll be there soon..." She chucked her phone dashing towards the mansion...
