Chapter 5 The Recruit

        Onyx walked into Alex's room and saw him freaking out. She calmed him down a bit before seeing him play with a huge gash the was right over a tattoo on his shoulder.
" Why would you do that?" Onyx sprinted out the door. She came back with a needle and thread.
" Come sit down so I can fix your gash."
" No." Alex replied still messing with the cut.
" I said sit the hell down before I make you!" Onyx pulled him over to the bed and he finally sat down.
" Ok this might hurt a bit so don't flip out on me ok?" She threaded the needle and slowly put the needle up to his skin.
" God dammit!" Alex almost knocked the needle out of her hand whipping his head down at the pain.

An hour later...
     "Sigh- finally done." Onyx knitted the thread and started walking out. Patrick greeted her at the door wondering what he did.
" This time it was a gash on the side of his shoulder. It looked like it had a tattoo in that spot." Onyx told him while putting the needle and thread back in the infirmary.
" Oh that one. That was a tattoo of Wendy's name with skulls and hearts around it..." Alex could be heard laughing and banging his head against the wall.
" I've never seen him like this. It's the first time he's acted up this bad in almost a year." Patrick commented getting a glass of water.
" Well how long ago was the break up?"
" Three years ago..." He took a sip and headed to his room.
" Must've been a serious relationship..." Onyx did the same. Once she got to her room she planted herself on the bed and fell fast asleep.

Five weeks after Alex's incident...
       Onyx came to Alex's door and knocked on it.
" Ey Alex! We got a recruit mission! I brought anti-depressants so you don't freak out on me during the trip!" Onyx yelled through the door.
" Wait you got pills.... IM IN!" Alex sprinted out the door as Onyx shook five pills from the bottle.
" Am I gonna regret giving theses to you?" She hands him them slowly.
" No." He gulped down 2 of the pills and they walked down the stairs.
" So what's this recruit's name?" Alex broke the silence. Onyx took out a piece of paper and scanned through it.
" William. And he is really far so we should get going." Onyx crumpled up the paper and walked out the door.
" Oh I think I heard about him. He's the one that was on the news for killing everyone in that asylum right?"
" Actually your right." The two set off on their long journey.

      They've been walking for about four hours until they reach a huge building.
" Is this the place?" Alex questions walking up to the glass doors.
" Hmm looks like it." Onyx follows and pushes the doors open. The entrance room was stained crimson red.
" This blood has been here a while." Onyx runs her finger through a splatter.
" How bout this." Alex was standing next to a book. It read " 100 Deadly Sicknesses". Onyx walks over and shrugs. Suddenly she perks up her head.
" Somethings coming this way." A loud screech came from down the dark hall.
" What the hell?" Alex covers his ears as a shadowy figure crawls on the ceiling.
" Is he the recruit?" Alex questions as Onyx pulls out a photo.
" Eyup." Onyx walks slowly to it.
" If things go south, back me up k?"
" O-ok but if I die I'm pinning it on you." Alex holds his ax close to his side.
The creature screeches again as Onyx gets closer.
" We aren't gonna hu-" she was interrupted as the creature crawled into another room.
" Sigh- let me handle this guy to guy."Alex walked into the room. Onyx sat outside the room with her scythe in her lap as she dozed off. It was almost thirty minutes later when the two came out, the once creepy creature now a kinda normal boy.
" We got him." Alex commented as Onyx jumped.
" Ok great. Welcome to the group William." She said cheerfully.
"..." William didn't answer and just stood there.
" Sigh- I'm gonna wait outside." Onyx sprinted out the door as Alex and William followed. The trio were outside and quiet until Alex said
" Ok let's go, I wanna go take a nap."
" You two go ahead, I'm gonna stay in the back." Onyx said as she walked slowly waiting for them to go ahead.
William walked up beside her.

I got really lazy here at the end so I'm gonna continue what happens later on. So sorry •_•
