A/N: Hello there! As you can tell this is a new update. I've also decided to enter this story in the OHSHC Watty Awards, although I know there are far better stories out there, particularly in the section this one is entered in. But it's worth a shot :) And for all of my readers who have also entered their stories, good luck <3 Also, there's another pic of Amanda on the side :)

Recap: Haruhi! I’m home!’ Yelled a woman, no wait, a man dressed as a woman. Haruhi just looked at him expressionlessly. ‘Why isn’t my daughter happy to see me?’ He asked and Haruhi face-palmed. Wait, did he just say ‘daughter’?

‘Uh…’ Haruhi muttered, glancing around the room. I noticed Haruhi’s father look at me slyly.

‘Did I just blow your cover Haruhi?’ He asked and Haruhi nodded. I raised my eyebrows. It would explain why there was something about Haruhi that didn’t seem manly, and now that I know, I feel stupid for not realising earlier.

‘Sorry about not realising,’ I muttered softly and Haruhi looked at me startled.

‘For not realising? That’s the weirdest apology I've ever heard,’ she said before bursting out into laughter while I just sit there staring at her.

‘What,’ I say in confusion. Haruhi’s father just giggles.

‘Well, now you know! By the way, call me Ranka!’ He said joyfully, before bounding out of the room and into the kitchen. Leaving me with a hysterical Haruhi.

Ten minutes later Haruhi was still rolling around on the floor laughing, leaving me with no choice. I had to take drastic action. ‘Haruhi, if you keep laughing, I’ll call Tamaki and invite him over,’ I threatened and she shut up immediately.

‘That was strangely effective,’ I remarked to myself, mildly surprised that she believed my lie.

‘Wait, you don’t even have his number…’ Haruhi said, catching on and I snickered evilly as she glared at me.

‘Anyways, I really should be going now,’ I said. ‘Thank you so much for your hospitality.’

‘It was no problem. Thanks for tutoring me with English.’

‘Ah, no problem. I’ll see you at school then. And don’t worry, I won’t spill your secret,’ I said cheerfully, waving as I walked outside. Well. That was an interesting visit. I walked home briskly, hugging my jacket to my body to prevent the cold from infiltrating my clothing any further. I mean seriously, why the hell is Japan so bloody cold?
