Everyone Has To Go Home Sometime (STEREK teen wolf fan fic)

Chapter 8

                                                                             Stile's POV

                        I spent a restless night trying to figure out how to deal with the promise i made to Deaucalian unfortunately i knew i had to go through with it. I kept hopeing that Derek would figure it out with the talk about what someone would do if they lost their mate. But Derek is stubborn and refuses to see whats going on right in front of his very eyes. This morning we all fanned out searching for the wolf that killed Deaucalian's mate and it was rough going until he and i met up infront of the school we knew the one we were looking for was inside so we went in. I followed a scent down to the basement of the school and Deaucalian followed me sure enough he was in the larger area of the basement i looked at Deacalian and let him go first knowing this was his fight. It didnt take long for him to kill the other wolf and he looked at me and I knew what was comeing

"Stiles i am normally a man of my word but in coming back to beacon hills i broke a promise to you so i shouldnt expect to you to keep your promise but i hope that you do and reunite me with my now dead mate."

          I looked at him as he knelt down in front of me exposeing his throat to me i nodded my head and he closed his eyes and with a swing of my clawed hand i ripped out his throat and plunged my other hand into his chest until i was sure he was dead keeping my promise to him at that precise moment i felt the change between being the beta and i shift fully into an Alpha and howled picking up Deacalian's body i walked out of the school and all the other wolves followed me into the woods were i told the twins to build a pire once they were done i layed the body on top and set it on fire.

                                                                                    Dereks POV

                          i watched Stiles through the flames of the funeral pyre he had the twins make for Deacalian i was still surprised they were doing what he said all the Alpha's from that pack listened to everything the boy well i take that back the man he has become said they did it he was now telling them to go back to the hotel and that they would figure out a more permanent living solution later. Stiles looked dead tired like he was physically and emotionally drained. How do i make him see that he and i are mates with out him calling me names and just being his regular pain in the ass self.

                 "Derek we are all heading back now but Stiles is refuseing to leave yet and since he is an alpha now i cant tell him what to do so would you stay and watch over him."

"Sure Alex go on ahead with John i'll watch Stiles." Alex smiled and left Stiles waited till the were all gone and looked over at me I knew he was going to say something but i stopped him. "Dont bother Stiles im not going any were so just get used to it"

"I wasnt going to say anything of the sort Derek so chill. Look Derek i know you never liked me what with the constant threats and slamming me up against walls while i was human and I know you thought i was a coward for running away from home like i did even though you didnt know why i ran before now but you should know the other reason i ran like i did was because of you."

 "In your own words Stiles Phycho wolf say what." that made Stiles laugh guess he didnt know i had a sense of humor. Stiles got a far away look in his eyes and just stood there for a moment before he finally started talking again.

                  "Do you remember the first time we met all those years ago in the woods, the whole time Scott was pretending to look for his inhaler i was too busy looking at you."

                                                                               Stiles POV

                   I waited for some sort of reaction from Derek to what i just said but he stayed quite so i decided to just jump in with both feet and tell him everything. "Every time you and i were in the same room or you threatened me or we were running from something all i could think about was you and at first i didnt understand it i tried to friend zone you but that didnt work because as far as i knew you hated me most likely you still do  but i know i dont care anymore if you hate me and i know you wont like what im going to say now i ran that night from you Derek i didnt want you to know what i went through because of a simple fact that Deacalian informed me of and that is that you and i are mates so yell scream threaten to kill me reject me if you must but i had to say it."

          Derek just stood there for the longest time not saying anything and i knew that when he did say something it would be to call me a lier and reject me. Or at least thats what i was expecting but what i didnt expect was for him to smile at me and walk up to me and kiss me like i had just said those three little words that everyone waits to hear.

                       "Stiles I have known for sometime that we were mates i just fought it for so long and then you were gone and i didnt know what to do but you back now and we can take this as slow as we need to for you i promise im not going any where because i love you so much it hurts to be away from you."     Wow Derek loves me too who would have thought.
