2장 - The Godfather

Officially the first day of Uni and their part time jobs. Hwamin and Hana got up pretty early to ensure they get everything right until the last detail: the hair, the natural make-up, the outfit, all their books and notebooks and laptop to make sure they don't miss anything out. Hana also packed some snacks for both since she loves cooking and Hwamin is always so distracted to even think of packing something and then ends up having a noisy tummy for the whole morning.

The first day was actually a big scare for them. They weren't used to the rhythm of university classes and the subjects were so different from what they knew. They were bombarded with knowledge and new things every minute and everything was so fast paced they couldn't even manage to keep up while taking notes.

Like always they met at lunch, and they both looked like a hurricane got to them: the perfect hair and outfit were ruined because of running around from class to class all the books and notebooks were pilled in their arms since they didn't even get time to keep them. When they faced each other they couldn't avoid just laughing.

"This is going to be much harder than we thought" Hana said

"I didn't even know I could write this fast!! GOSH!!" Hwamin cried while trying to keep her books to get a free hand to grab a tray.

"Ahah I know right?! But was it, like the classes, were they interesting at least?"

"Yeah I think so, but it's still hard to say because it's really just theory. And yours? Did you get to do some jams already?" Hwamin joked

"No!! Same as you, just theory. I guess I'll only be able to "do some jams" more at the end of the year..."

"I want to be the first to hear, you heard me?!?"

"Yeah, yeah, we live in the same house it will be impossible for you not to hear!" Hana complained

After lunching in the same table as the day before, the girls both parted ways to another round of classes before going for their part time jobs. Hana works at a little coffee shop. She is just a waitress but really wants to be able to sell some of her pastries there. Hana works the afternoon shift, since classes end until dinner time. On the other hand, Hwamin works at a clothes store. It's a job that really fits her funky style and people always feel compelled to check the store out as soon as they see her since she always catches people's attention. She works the same shift as Hana, so they get to have dinner together and do school work during night time.

The days that followed were still fast paced like the first one but they managed to start getting the hang of it and things went smother. Both the girls now usually use their lunch time together to get some school work done so they don't have to stay up so late. They really don't mind losing that time they have to chat over school work, because they still spend it together.

Their part-time jobs were going smoothly also. They didn't do any major mistakes and even though it was a job it wasn't really a burden.

After a whole week of classes, both Hana and Hwamin felt that things were already settled as they expected them to be. But as Hwamin was leaving class to go get lunch together with her friend, a familiar voice called:

"Hwamin-ah!!"

She felt a hand on her shoulder as she turned to see who it was.

"Oh! Yugyeom!" It was the junior that showed her around that first day "Uhmm.. Were you...? I mean, you're taking the same class as me?"

"Yeah... " He replied embarrassed "I didn't took it the first year so now I have to take it with the freshman students..."

"That's okay! Uhm... What did you want from me? Do you need something?" Hwamin asked
