Chapter 4-The Escape

One hour after the attack both Aries and Queen Mercury were in the throne room mourning and grieving for the king's death.Leo was in the library standing there silently, no one had noticed that Leo was still in the library, in the same spot of where he had his first summon. " Virgo...you, you went to far and, and....oh my Kimpoh.....why Virgo....this was my mission....did,did father send you on this mission..." He quietly spoke to himself staring at the floor, then left to comfort his grieving cousin. " I'm sorry for my disturbance my queen I shall take my leave now..." Queen Mercury slowly looked up and said " no,no Leo it's fine you can stay...I just never saw such a plan being done....Leo who did this...." Leo gulped and had no words but struggled to say "Virgo, my elder sister....I have never known of this I....I ...may I please speak with Aries...in private my queen..." Queen Mercury nodded in agreement and lead him and Aries to her bedroom and silently closed the thick crystal door. "Aries I need to talk to you....when your dad was in the library.....he was looking a book about our gods, and as we all know they're evil, look at our world now......and there is something else I need to tell you..." Aries looked up in grief and said " WHAT! WHAT DO YOU NEED TO TELL ME, WERE YOU AND YOUR SISTER ALSO GOING TO KILL ME AND MOM!" She then collapsed to her knees and muttered " what do you need to tell me...." Leo kneeled down and silently spoke " Look, Aries I'm sorry but what you said was a hoax...I'm here on a mission, to check the military and status of your kingdom, at least a weak spot to plan an attack...I had in intentions of my sister here..." Aries stood up and clenched her fists and wiped her tears then said " I get its....fine......I forgive you its not your fault...its your sister and your fathers....you had tried to save me so thanks man...."
Leo had looked back then said " okay here is the plan, you and me have to escape the kingdom, the guards from both kingdoms will try and find us...." Aries nodded and grabbed two cloth bags "I'll pack food, money, and clothing, you pack food and utilities" she then threw the two bags and started packing.
About one hour later, their mother and the guards fell asleep and so Aries and Leo silently sneaked through the castle and jumped from the crystal fence in the backyard. "Hey Leo, do you know the ranks of a summoner..." She looked at Leo and then smiled. " well, yeah I just have trouble memorizing the list, why..." Aries then grabbed Leo's and said " well, the highest rank of summoning is God slayer right?" Leo nodded "how about we try and defeat the gods!" Then Aries tightened her grip in Leo's hand and ran faster towards the exit of the Kingdom...then as Leo ran he thought to himself "am I traveling with a crazy person"
