The 'new' home

Chapter 5

We've just arrived in Mississippi. And I'm so tired I would just drift of any second. I didn't sleep at the flight, I was watching movies. Classics. Like: Cinderella, Monsters Inc., I had just started Rapunzel but then I could just watch half the movie. :(

My dad is getting our luggage. My mum is looking something on her phone, I don't know what. "Here's our luggage. Carly can you help me? This is a lot!" my dad asked. "Of course! Wait!" I answered sighing.

~After 1hour~

"When are we there??" my brother asked, now for the 6th time. I mean he's older than me and he's behaving like a 5 year old boy! "Ben! We'll be there in about 10 minutes. Or 45 minutes." my dad said irritated. I do understand that my brother is interested in our new house but he is overacting a bit (Or a lot). But I'm really excited too but I just don't want to show it. Cause actually im supposed to be angry with my parents. "Lets play a game!" my mum said happily. She is the most excited to see our house. Because of all the wellness stuff she made dad build in our house. "Noo!" I said sighing loudly.

So thats how the drive went on for 35 minutes. I forgot to tell you guys how we got the car in which we are currently driving. My dad came about 4 weeks ago here to Missisipi alone. We all had descided what car we wanted: a BMW X6. My mum descided on that car. She always loved that car. Me too, by the way. So as I said my dad had come here to check on our house and got that car. It took him about 1 and a half weeks to get that car!! If he hadn't reserved the car it would have taken 4 weeks! So thank god he reserved! My brother was a bit sad that we didn't get a Porsche Cayenne! I know, he's silly! Anyway, our BMW X6 is white and has brown leather seats. I just love it!

"We're there!" my dad shouted from the front. What?! We're already there? Oh. I slept. "Did you sleep well, honey?" I hear a soft voice from the front. "Yeah." I answer still drifting lightly. "Well then, look out!" my mum is telling me. I open my eyes witha lot of strenght. And look out.

Wow.

The house that is standing outside is looking soo good. It's so modern looking! Is it really the house that my mum showed me in that little picture? "Hey, stop drooling, honey!" my mum is joking with me. "What? I'm not drooling!" I answer annoyed. "But the house is looking fantastic, mum! I just love it! I can't wait to see my room! And yours. And the Dining room. The hall. And the whole house!!" I start babbling. "Woah! Don't forget to breathe!" my brother advises me. And I follow him cause I'm really out my breath. And then I get out the car and take a closer look at our house. It's covered with wood so that it looks like it's made out of wood. And it has huge windows that makes the house about 50% cooler.

Ben P.O.V.

Carly is sleeping and I'm reading a comic. Suddenlly my dad shouts: "Ben! Look out. We're there!". And I look out. OMG. There standing before me is a house. Not a normal house. A super modern cool house. I just can't believe my parents really managed to make that old house in the picture my mum showed me such a modern house! I can't wait to see the inside! That's when I remember to wake up Carly but she's already awake. Well, she's still about half in her dream world. I get out and take a closer look at our new house. It doesn't even look a bit like the house my mum showed me. Well, I think I'm really going to love this house! Especially my room! I specifically asked my dad to make a lot moderner and cooler. Just my taste. Carly also designed her room. Her room is in a light turqouise color. And a new princess bed and a walk-in closet. Well, girl taste.

I follow my dad into the house. He opens the door. And then I see it. The house looks awesome from the inside. All the new furniture mixed with our old stuff from California. Just then Carly walks in and I see her jaw drop. She gasps: "Oh. My. God.". Well, that's what I call love at first sight. I do understand her I mean, this place is soo beautiful. And I know that Carly didn't that the old house in the picture will look like this after the renovation. "How did you do that?!" Carly asks our mum with wide eyes. "I mean this house looked so old in that picture you showed us!" she kind of complains. "Oh! That picture! Didn't I tell you that the picture was taken about 5 years ago?" my mum asks smiling. Oh! Well, that answers a lot of questions!

Carly P.O.V

I can't believe she forgot to tell us that! Anyway, I really want to go up to my room now! I have no idea where it is. The only thing I know is that my room is right next to Ben's. "Can I go up to my room now?" I ask my dad. "Of course! Come with me! You too Ben!" he answers happily. I think he's in a good mood cause I'm happy about the new house. And I really like this house! And the neighboorhood looks pretty good too!

My dad goes up the stairs and I follow him with my brother next to me. My room is in the 1st floor. There are only 2 rooms and 2 bathrooms. 1 mine and 1 for my brother. I wanted it that way. I didn't want to share a bathroom with my brother.

My dad opens the second door.
