It all started about three months ago. I was in the best class in the world. Geometry! Who doesn't love geometry? Me that's who. I was going to become an artist there was no reason for geometry. There's a reason I didn't take it until senior year, I hate the class. The teachers and the students were great. But, My dad loved geometry. I hate my dad. When I was 5 my dad would try to teach me how to do advanced geometry. Every time I got the problem wrong he would scream at me telling me how I would never be smart, then wrap me in the knuckles with a ruler. I never told my mom because he told me not to. So I never did. I can still remember the smell alcohol on his breath as he told me I was stupid and would never do anything with my life.
To this day she still doesn't know. My dad has tried to make amends to me but I won't let anyone ever touch me again. Even my mom, she'll try to hold my hand or hug me and I would shrink back and cover my face with my arms. Trying to protect myself from the memories.
I awoke from my daydream to a notification on my phone. It was Melody, my best friend. It was a picture of the most beautiful man in the world, Jacob Stevens. I was about to answer all the lights went out. And my screen when the black.
That's when the explosions started. And that moment no one knew that that would be the end of the world..... Or the last time I saw a normal day
