My mom yelled . My eyes widen and my jaw dropped . I laughed . I ran downstairs to the kitchen .
Me : Heeeey mother ,
I said , with a suspicious tone in my voice .
Mom : What do you want ?
She sighed , giving me a look . A look that I knew too well .
Me : What makes you think I want something ?
Mom : Spill Aaliyah ,
She said immediately after I spoke .
Me : Weeellllll , . .
Mom : Mhmm ? . .
Me : Can I pleaseeee , pleasseeee , pleaaaseeeee go see Wiz and A$ap for the Under The Influence tour ?
She sighed , grabbed her cup of coffee , sipped it and walked to the living room .
Me : Mommmm pleaaasssseeeeeee ,
Mom : Ask your father . . .
Me : And what if he says no ?
Her eyes drew back to the t.v .
Me : Ugghhh !
I ran up the stairs quick and called my dad from my cell phone .
Pick up , pick up , pick up ----
I thought .
Dad : Hello ?
Another voice asked on the other end of the phone . It wasn't the voice I wanted to hear .
Me : Leslie ?
Dad : Hey Li-Li ,
Me : Can you pleassseeee give my dad the phone ?
I don't know how Leslie got a hold of his phone but I really didn't care .
Dad : Hello ?
Me : Daaaaadddyyyyy !!
Dad : What do you want ?
He asked in the same tone as mom earlier .
Me : What makes you think I want something ?
Dad : You know I don't like it when you beat around the bush . Just tell me what you want .
I sighed
Me : I want tickets to go see Wiz and A$AP for the Under The Influence tour .
He sighed .
Dad : Another concert ?
Me : Yes father , you know how I am .
Dad : I'll give you an answer before the day is up .
Me : Fair enough . Love you pop pop .
Dad : Love you too , where's your brother ?
Me : He's somewhere with Jacob .
Dad : I guess that's a good thing .
Me : Why you got Leslie answering your phone ?
Dad : I missed the part where that was your business .
He replied .
Me : Bye Dad .
Dad : Bye Li-Li .
We hung up the phone .
I jumped up and down on my bed . Usually when Dad says he'll give me an answer by the end of the day it's more than likely a yes. I turned my computer back on , hooked it up to my speakers and turned the volume up loud .
Me : I GOT CRINACK , YEAH I GOT CRINACK !!!
Seconds later Sayvion bust in my room with Jacob and started squirting me with their water guns .
Me : AAAHHHHHH ! MOMMY !!!!
They closed my door and ran back outside . I ran after them but didn't catch up .
Me : I'm gonna kill Sayvion and Jacob .
Mom : Water gun attack ?
Me : You saw them run up there with the guns and didn't even warn me ?
Mom : You and that music Aaliyah . I told you not to have it up so loud .
I rolled my eyes .
Me : I apologize mama .
I grabbed the housephone and dialed Mani's number .
Mani : Did your mom say yes ? !
She asked excitedly .
Me : My mom didn't say anything , I asked my dad .
Mani : Aaaannnnnnnnddddd ?
Me : He said . . . he said he'd give me an answer by the end of the day .
Mani : Aaaww man ! I already told my mom , she said she'd help pitch in . You know , B.S passes . . ticket money . Err'thang .
Me : Whaaaaaat ? If I tell my dad that he'll definitely say yes . Did you order your stuff today ?
Mani : Well of course ! They're coming the day after tomorrow .
Me : Mine is too !!!!
We screeched over the phone in unison .
Me : Lemme call my dad back . .
Mani : Go ahead ,
She said . I hung up and ran back to my room .
Me : Dadddddyyyyy !
Dad : Yes Aaliyah ?
He said , sounding frustrated .
Me : Armani's mom said she'll help pitch in with the money . She'll help pay for the tickets and the backstage passes .
He sighed once more .
Dad : They better be good seats too .
Me : Front Row !!
I said with confidence in my voice .
Dad : Alright , I'll take you guys there .
Me : AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH !!! Daddy I LOVE YOU !!!!
Dad : More than your mom ?
I cracked up .
Me : If I say yes will you bring this up to her?
Dad : No .
Me : Then YESSSS !!!
We shared a laugh .
Me : The show's next week . It falls on a Thursday . It's in Philly at the Denhouse Theatre .
Dad : Alright , alright . I gotta go to work . I'll talk to you later .
Me : Alright .
We hung up .
Me : AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH !!
Mom : Ayeee , Ayeeee Aaliyah what's going on up there ?
Me : I'M GOING !!! DADS TAKING US !!!
I yelled . I got onto my computer and logged onto Twitter . Basically everything was the same as everyday . Everybody was talking about everything . I tweeted .

I got 237 retweets in less than a minute . Some people replied and said ' Congrats' some replied and said ' See you there ' . That afternoon I told Mani , we were just too turnt up man . I've been to many concerts in my life . . . Mindless Behavior , Jacob Latimore , T.I , OMG Girlz , I've even been to a 2 Chainz concert but none of them topped this one . Or so I thought . . .
