I originally promised you all I would publish this 2 nights ago. Well let's just say, having your little brothers' alarm clock go off at 3 AM does not do wonders to your sleep. Especially after you put it on snooze (I was super tired and not thinking straight) and right as I was about to fall asleep it goes off. The second time I just unplugged it, but I didn't fall asleep as easily. When I woke up the next morning I was a zombie, throughout the day as well. As soon as I got home, my mom decided we needed to go out shopping. Arriving home late at night, I collapsed on my bed and woke up late that next morning. Which turns out later that day, I accidentally locked my mom and I out of our house (my family was out of town) so we had to drive (without wifi) to my Grandmother's house. Which also led to my Mom deciding to transfer me to school here, where I could live with my Grandparent's before the rest of my family moves back out here. So long story short, hectic weekend. And then on Monday (today) I had to get surgery.

Anyways, I also promised you all I would write about a Fairy Tail Fanfiction, and I had found the perfect one. But it was too awful to write a review about it, everything was fast paced and the main character had way too much power where she knew what was going to happen to everyone. And the author didn't even ship NaLu! Don't get me started on the grammar. It was hell just having to read it so I could write the review on it. Once I finished the story I came to the conclusion that I had no positive thoughts on it. Remember that old saying,"If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all,"? Needles to say, I decided to abide by it because my review would've been completely trashing the other person.

No one likes someone bitching about the other person's work.

Dedicated to AnneLutz the author of Once Upon A Time and the featured short story, Losing Violet.

Today at lunch I read this book that I absolutely loved and I was originally going to review, but then I clicked on the author's profile and found an even better book that truly spoke to me. It was a book filled with a collection short stories called, Once Upon A Time. I cried my fucking eyes out over this one story, Losing Violet. With that, I'll begin to review that story, and that one only due to the numerous short stories in the book.

It's a bittersweet story that's talking about a guy and how much he messed up with his girlfriend, at first. If you're wondering, everything I listed was just twisted and turned and was made to the fucked up level of 10. It was incredibly depressing and made me sad for the rest of the day. It felt has my heart had been ripped out of my chest! Don't get me wrong, it's still one of the best stories I've ever read. But be prepared to go moping around for the rest of the day. And if you ever need a go-to morbid book? Losing Violet is there! It will keep the edge of your seat warm with tearful thoughts.

Maybe I should go a little in depth to what I'm talking about. But first, here's what I originally thought the story was about.

Basically, a guy broke up with his girlfriend but she moved on to another guy. About a year later, they met up at a park in a rainy day. While he proclaimed his love for her, she told him she loved him too but it was too late and she was trying to get over him. She ran off to her Halloween party, and he got in his car and chased after her. He texted her and told her he was sorry. While staring at the road he thought of her, and then a truck hit him and he died.

Once you re-read it you'll understand what actually happens. And even when telling you what happens here, you'll still have to re-read it.

At the end of the book the author explains (not directly) that Henry (the main character) died while going to his girlfriend's, Violet, Halloween Party. After looking up from his phone from texting Violet, a truck appeared out of nowhere and slammed into him, causing his death. In the beginning of the book, he's actually a ghost. Henry's best friend, Alex, comes to his grave and updates him about Violet. Violet 'finally' moved on and started dating another guy. However, 18 months after his death Violet decides to visit his grave. Violet tells Henry that she loves him still and she's trying very slowly to get over him. She wishes him a happy afterlife, and takes away running. While Henry lies there in his grave (being a ghost) only wishing to tell Violet he'll love her, always and forever.

A lot can happen between reading it the first time and the second time. If you decide to read it, casually read it once. Then go back and read it again focusing on the little details the author gives you. Like I stated previously, it is a bittersweet, heartfelt story that will rip out all of your positive emotions, in a good way. It will make your nose quiver and your eyes tremble with tears. Your heart will pound and your mind will scream why.

Rated 10/10

I actually had a best friend (we don't keep in touch anymore) who lost his fiancé (I think that's the girl version) in a car crash. He was in the car, but he was minimally damaged. I have one thing left to say to you all.

Life is a bitch.
