Saying goodbye

Well today was our last day and everyone was packing up and horse trailers were pulling in and leaving. I packed all my stuff up and I made sure that I didn't forget to say good bye to cowboy. I will tell him that I am sorry and that I have to leave but to never ever to forget me and I will do the same.

I walked slowly with my head down and I walked into the barn and I walked to Stall 22 and I got a big,juicy carrot out of my pocket and gave it to him and I gave him a kiss on the nose and hugged him.

Kim came up to the stall and said,"Erin what are you doing?"

I said," I'm saying goodbye to cowboy."

She said,"there's no reason for that you're........."

"Erinnn," Erin's mom roared!

"Mommyyy," I yelled, running out of the stall.

We hugged and she ask me questions I said," sorry mom if I was rough on you, I was just upset about not getting cowboy."

"It's okay sweetie well go grab your duffle bag and put it in the car while I talk to Kim."

"Okay," I yelled as I was running to to lodge and up to my room. Sara was in there packing an I have her a hug and thanked her for staying and being a great friend and helping me! I said," I'm leaving maybe I will see you next summer?" We hugged and she said," yup, totally." I picked up my duffle bag and a waved good bye to Sara and I ran down the stairs out to the car.

I didn't even notice the trailer on the back of the truck.I was to busy think about cowboy and saying thanks! I ran into the barn and my mom and Kim were still talking and I looked in cowboys stall and it was empty, Lola must have taken him... I said in a angry voice!

I looked over at the parking lot and I saw her driving away with a black horse and I started to cry I don't even get to say good bye to cowboy one more time! I stomped my feet and I said," thanks you Kim for Everything and I grabbed my moms wrist and said let's go," she said,"one minute. You go get in the truck."

I got in the front seat and I just sat there all mad. I paused for a minute and I jumped out I the truck. I raced to the end of the trailer. I look in the back and there was a horse, black and had a star one his nose, and he was black and slippery and had a shiny coat and on his butt there was a line a white line.

I fell on the ground crying! I ran into the barn and I said," mom thank you so much, you don't know what this means to me! Thank you." Thank you Kim, thank you so much." This is the best surprise everrrr......!!! My mom look at me Funny and gave me a look, and that was a look she only give me when I easedrop. On the other hand it's when you listen to a conversation when you're not suppose to.

I just smiled......and ran to the truck as she chase after me, laughing!!!
