Connie awoke. She didn't know how she ended up in a cage, locked up with Toto. The last thing she remembered was being taken away from her friends, and flying in the sky. Toto whined at being stuck in this cage. She hugged him, and thought of how she was going to get out of this cage. All of a sudden, she heard cackling followed by a futuristic door opening. It was the wicked gem of the west, Peridot. "Well, well, well. Look what we have here, a lost little girl and her maingey little dog." Connie put Toto down, and said to Peridot with a stern tone in her voice, "Let me go!" Peridot simply chuckled and said to her, "Fine. I'll let you go once you give me those ruby slippers!" Connie looked at them, and knew that if she gave her the slippers, she would take over Onyx, and destroy everything. "No." Connie said. Peridot gave her a cold look and said, "I'll get those shoes one way or another." She turned around and walked out, leaving Connie in pure silence.
