not as it seems

Fedora man.

she  stood her ground and pulled back on her arm until he finally let go. "what do you mean? im pretty sure im not in danger... right?" dawn said as she gave him a dirty look. "no... youre not, you may not realize it but youre in more danger than you could ever imagine." the man said as he offered dawn his cold and pale hand. "so please come with me" he said. she sighed and took his hand, whats the worse that could happen... death? who knows. she thought as he took her outside the building into a very old looking car. it was rusty and old, and smelled like dust and 'old'. 

she sat in the passenger seat and buckled up. "so who are you? and why do you need me, im just a small 8th grader, small life, small friends.." she said as she ran her fingers through her hair and he started to drive off, she could hear his creepy like laughter. "thats where youre wrong child, you and your friends are not small..." he said. she was confused, "what do you mean?" she asked.

"they... we... are apart of something bigger than what you think..." he said, going silent right after. dawn asked again "what do you mean?" she was so confused. were they in some special group thing? if so then this wouldnt be a good way to tell her. the man soon started to drive off of the main road, towards the forest. he was driving past trees, what looked like thousands of them. "where are we going? what do you want?" she asked as she sat up and glared at him. what was he doing? this was getting bad. he pulled over and got out of the car, walking towards a large tree. 

she followed him while thinking. what did he mean by 'bigger than what you think'. were her friends hiding something? should she still trust them? her and ryan had been friends since 7th grade, and she wanted to trust him... them... ryan, cheyenne, marion, kris, lynn, ari.. could she trust them? wait, was she actually going to believe a strange man in a fedora and suit? she though before she saw him stand infront of the tree. he soon opened the tree, the trunk formed into a set of grand doors and he walked through, saying to dawn "FOLLOW PLEASE...". 

she was amazed. how could this be happening? should she trust him? she felt like she was dreaming, but she knew this wasnt a dream. she would know if it was a dream. she took a deep breath before gathering her strength and walking to the man. staying close to him as she followed him into the tree.
