241 POV

He was very gentle when he tied my wound. I did not look at him though. I was staring into the fire. The tendrils of heat moving and spinning. I used to be able to breath fire and control it. Now I can't and it's horrible. My nature was taken from me.

I broke out of my brooding when I felt pain in my abdomen. I fell back into Coal's arms.

The pain was indescribable. I looked down at my stomach and there was blood seeping out. I must have gotten shot and had not noticed until now. I put my hand on my stomach and applied pressure.

I looked up to Coal and his face was full of concern. I couldn't help but smile. He was too compassionate. I laughter and said "I'll be fine". I groaned. "Bullets hurt".

Coal POV

She still had a smile on her face as i applied pressure and tied her wound. She was looking at the fire again with a solemn look on her face.

I knew what she was thinking about now. Fire. She must have missed it. She used to be a dragon after all. They were know for there scorching fire.

@241 POV

I knew he was looking at me but i ignored him. I wasn't going to get lost in his eyes. Wait? What! My thoughts lately have been becoming weird. I was usually "every man for himself" i was a dragon after all. We were born then raised to 2 years old then were left to fend for ourselves. I was used to being alone.

Coal POV

Her smile quickly became a frown the longer she stared at the fire.

I should probably say something. The silence was killing me.

"So... How long have you been at the facility?" Her head whipped to me with anger but her face softened then lowered. "7 years" she said. My eyes widened.

She has been there longer than anyone i knew from there has. She looked 18, she must have been captured when she 11.

She glared at me then turned back to the fire. I must have still had a look of shock on my face.

"I have been there for 2 years i know how you feel". I hoped telling her how long i had been there would comfort her but her expression didn't change.

She turned to look at me and said "you have no idea the pain and sorrow they put me through". She then turned back and lied back to sleep.

I didn't have anything to say after that so i layed down and went to sleep.

241 POV

I didn't sleep that night. I was too busy making the doctors out of shadows.
