The Air Bender (Mako X OC)

Laydia's P.O.V.

I had decided to go along with Korra and her friends instead of going to the Northern Air Temple, despite heavy criticism from Tenzin.

Korra and I almost instantly became besties and she offered to practice bending with me.

"Stay light on your feet like air." she advised. We were practicing airbending.

I managed to knock Korra back with a gust of air as Mako walked in.

"Nice shot." he said.

"Ow. Nice shot's right. I'm going to get an ice pack." Korra announced.

She left rubbing the back of her neck.

I began shooting fireballs at some targets.

"Um...do you... I don't know? Want to...practice with me?" he said.

Mako's P.O.V.

I was so embarrassed. In truth I liked Laydia. She was so cute and she was a firebender like me. I could feel myself blushing. Luckily she was looking at the targets rather than me. Ah... She hit those targets so well... SNAP OUT OF IT MAKO!

"Sure."

Her fighting style reminded me a lot of her mother's. She turned to me and waited.

"You going to go first?" she finally said to me.

"Ladies first." I said back. She grinned an evil grin. Uh oh.

She pounded me with a fireball in the chest. Ow that hurt. And when I took a moment to breath she sent more fire at me. I bent the fire back at her. And she caught it, added onto it, and sent it back at me.

When the smoke cleared, She was leaning against the wall smirking at me.

"Oww. You could've killed me!"

"Oh please. If I wanted to kill you , you'd be dead." she said still smiling at me.

I couldn't stay mad at her for long, mostly because of her smile.

She helped me up.

"You know Mako. I didn't even bend air and I still beat you. You weren't holding back right?" she asked him while giving a glare that made it seem like she already knew the answer.

"Umm...no I didn't." I said. She knew I had lied but didn't keep asking me about it.

"Well I need to get back to my room. See Ya later Mako."
