“Dire! Incoming!” yelled Nature’s Prophet. They didn’t expect to run into Dire forces today, but perhaps this was his chance to meet the fair young Crystal Maiden, Rylai. He felt guilty as he was responding to the dating post by Medusa, but with her “beauty” he had no choice in the matter.
[ Nature’s Prophet kills the dire courier 1:56 ]
Nonetheless, Nature’s Prophet was the type to prove himself and impress Rylai. He spotted the Dire’s courier and called upon the powers of the forest to smite it. He smiled nonchalantly, “as expected...”. Medusa saw this as a kill and made a note to herself of who’s winning. So far, NP was winning 1-0-0-0 amongst her boys. She felt oddly satisfied that NP was leading.
“Radiant forces, dropped our courier you fools! Get your march on and scout that area!”, cried the steely cold Crystal Maiden. She hadn’t seen Radiant forces in time and this killing of a courier heightened her interest in the enemy, who she normally disregarded. Killing a courier wasn’t a good guy thing to do, was there a bad boy for her yet in the Radiant Realm?
[ Magnus chases nature’s prophet and tries to kill ]
Magnus answered the Maiden’s cry and immediately charged forward finding Nature’s Prophet, striking at him repeatedly, but to no avail. “Is the Prophet of Nature stronger than me? Impossible”. Crystal Maiden observed the outcome, seeing who would prevail and win the right to be her mate.
[ Crystal Maiden shifts to the side jungle, to harass dark seer]
Despite the ruckus and show of force between Magnus and Nature’s Prophet, Crystal Maiden turned her attention towards Spirit Breaker, eye’ing to get him alone. While the guys fight it out, she could get some alone time, maybe give him a frostbite as they hunted, all alone together.
“Hmm, this is a great day to hunt”, said Spirit Breaker, oblivious to Crystal Maiden’s advances. “Dum dee dum dee dum …”, he simple mindedly chanted as he waltzed. Luckily for him, Rylai saw him as much greater than he was, mistaking his carelessness for strength and resolve.
Dark Seer, the wise and strategic one of the bunch on the Radiant side noticed Spirit Breaker’s folly and sought to take advantage of this, to steal her away to him. Perhaps he could take out Spirit Breaker and Rylai would switch over to their team. It was his fantasy.
The Radiant forces at this point were caught in a whirlwind of intrigue about Rylai, confused as to whether to attack the opposing Dire or focus on impressing her. They’d get another chance to fight the Dire, but its not everyday you get to be near the Crystal Maiden.
[Crystal Maiden spams ability: crystal nova]
Dark Seer succeeded in distracting Spirit Breaker, but the Crystal Maiden went forth and fought him back, protecting her man. Finally, this caught Spirit Breaker’s attention. As he reeled back from the attack he felt reassured by the Maiden’s protection, attracted to it, attracted to her. He had never met a strong warrior woman like her before. Spirit Breaker’s indifference to the fight changed to rage as he realized that Dark Seer was trying to vie for Rylai’s attention.
[Spirit Breaker chases DS and tries to kill (3:40)]
Spirit Breaker charged forward, “I have you now Radiant scum”, and fired off attacks on him.
Dark Seer deftly avoided the attack, despite being old, his strategic choice of stance and positioning allowed him to see the attack coming. “Bring it young one”, he mocked Spirit Breaker.
[Keeper wanders into the radiant Jungle]
The ladies man, the Keeper of the Light emerged from the jungle, with the sole purpose of picking up either women. Hey, he answered the post to get a lady, and a lady he will get today, he thought.
[Medusa farming ancients, pulling but gets blocked by Magnus’s illusions]
Medusa starts attempting to farm the ancients. She realized this could give her enough power to combat the enemies they’ve encountered in the woods.
“If I can just pull this off, I can get enough power to finish Crystal Maiden once and for all”, murmured Medusa confidently.
“Not if I can stop it” barked Magnus. This was his chance to kill off the wretched, horribly ugly Medusa and sweep Rylai off her feet.
Magnus summoned his great magical powers from the gem he gathered, casting illusions who blocked Medusa..
“Oh you saved me, you did it all for me. Without those illusions I may have continued and died, Call me!”, Medusa mistook Magnus’s attack for an attempt at a relationship.
“What! How can you interpret that as a....how can you even... women....”, Magnus said dumbfoundedly.
