BAE's POV 🌸
Suddenly, we both hear a loud crack then a humongous boom of thunder following it. Of course, I'm the one who screamed and pulled Taehyung in for a teddy bear hug.
He hugs me back and chuckles while he puts his chin on my head.
It starts drizzling and the pitter patter of the rain wants to rock me to sleep but I keep my eyes wide open because I didn't really know Taehyung that well anyway.
I keep quiet and listen to Taehyung's heartbeat. I took in his amazing, unimaginable fragrance. Now, I really wanted to go to sleep but I forced my eyes open and shimmied out of the cuddle session.
I blushed, realizing that I had just closed my distance between us. I scooted about a few inches away and sat with my back against the damp, frigid wall.
We were about 20 feet up in the air on a huge tower of unstable boxes and it was terrifying. I wasn't a real big fan of lightning either so I just sat there, huddled up with my head buried in between my bare kneecaps.
It was quiet for quite a while until I looked over, slowly at Taehyung. He looked like he was already asleep. Another tremendous flash of lighting lit the dark sky and a loud clap of thunder came rumbling afterwards.
I whined softly and moved silently onto Taehyung's side. We were now both clear from the window and I relaxed a bit.
His heart-stopping fragrance swirled around me as I scooted closer to him and put my head on his shoulder. I smiled childishly and felt my heart thumping a rhythmic beat in my chest and I blushed.
By now, I knew I was falling too fast for him. I evened my breath out and snuggled a bit closer until I could feel his warmth. I felt much better, having him by my side.
I dozed off and let my body relax to the rise and fall of the rain.
TAE's POV🌸
There was a loud thunderclap and Bae suddenly latches onto me and squeals. I chuckle a bit and hug her for warmth. Her heartbeat was like the gallop of a frightened horse.
I suddenly realized how close we were and kept very still. My breathing was normal, but my heartbeat sped up. She smelled so sweet! Like cherry blossoms on an early, spring morning.
I shifted a bit and Bae suddenly pulls away from me and sits by the ridge. She looked a bit frightened and nervous.
"Right. . ." I thought to myself. "I've barely known her and she's probably freaking out because of how close I'm getting. I got to control myself. . ."
I switched to the other side of the box tower which was much safer and wider. I wanted to call out to her but I felt I had gotten too close and made her feel uncomfortable so I stayed where I was. I crossed my arms and rested them on my scrunched up knees. I lay my head down and was about to doze off when another huge clap of thunder rung in my ears.
I hear a whine, like a puppy's, then I sense BAE's movement across the floor. Her smooth hair trickles down my arm as she lays her head on my shoulder. She scoots closer until we have no space in between us and sighs a sigh of relief.
I smile and finally doze off as the pattern of the rain rocks me to sleep.
