a-MAZE-zing Discovery

Emma POV

"Regina," I exclaim, "you're back!"
"I went to get us food at dawn, and the. I cooked it. I came in to wake you guys up, but you weren't here, and I fell asleep." Regina says.
"Food?" Neal asks.
"It's on the wooden plate I found, quail and berry omelet." Regina says, "It's big enough to feed all of us. Cut into thirds will ya?"

Neal opens his pocketknife and we walk over to our campfire area. Neal start to cut it when all of a sudden, it starts shaking, then the plate shakes, the logs, the ground......

"Earthquake!" I yell.

Regina and I start running to a safe meadow nearby, where nothing can fall on them. Neal isn't far behind when the ground starts to crack open. Regina and I fall into the ditch.

"Emma!" I hear Neal's voice fade.

My head was dizzy, it felt like days I was lying in a ditch. My eyes began to open, "Get up Swan." Regina states, "we need to get out of here."

"How long was I out?" I ask.
"An hour or two, you kept saying day and night over and over again." Regina says.

We start walking. It seemed as if everywhere we went, it was always a narrow passage. Dead end after dead end. I tried to think of a logical explanation for this occurance, but this is a fairy tale land so scratch those ideas out.

"Maze!" I scream.
"What?" Regina questions.
"The dead ends, narrow passages, it's a giant maze!" I exclaim, "If we can just get out of the maze, there may be a way out of the ditch, like magical stairs or something."

"Considering your from whatever this StoryBrooke is, I will not laugh at your whole magical explanation." Regina smirks.

"C'mon, let's go." I say.

As we walk, it feels as if I'm shrinking, but I was out cold for a while, so I ignored it. Then I see Regina getting smaller and smaller. I ignore it again. Suddenly, I fall, yet I'm still standing.......

"Quicksand!" Regina screams.
