"This is no longer up for discussion! Do you hear me? This is no longer a choice for you! We have constanly talked about this and arrangements have been made! Why are you laughing?"
"I find it funny how you say this is no longer up for discussion and yet here we are still discussing it."
Well, at least that got my parents to stop talking. For a second at least.
"This is just typical. You always back chat, making your stupid, sarky comments." My father continued as I played with my necklace.
"Why can't you just be more like your brother?"
"Beause then I'd be dead." I paused, realising what I just said as I looked up to see my parents faces pale as they backed away from the dining room table.
"Jessea!" I turned to see my saviour standing at the door, "time to go."
I quickly got up, grabbing my snapbag in the process and ran through the door and into the hallway to meet Nara heading for the front entrance.
"Why would you say that?" she whispered.
"It's not like I meant it." I defended.
Nara stopped in her tracks and I turned to meet the confused and angered expression that had made its way across her soft and flawless features.
"You really think it matters whether you meant it or not? It's the fact that you said is Jessea, not if you meant it or not! You knew what would happen!"
"Nara, we're going to be late."
"I don't care! You need to get you head out of your fucking arse Jer and take responsibility for all the shit you do. Time to grow the hell up! For God's sake!"
She stomped off, her stilettos echoing through the house. I quickly followed, the sound of my boots muffling the echoes. I jumped in the passenger side of the car and we started our silent journey.
After 20 minutes my view was suddenly disrupted by the tall black hole the government like to call a school. Reluctantly, I opened the door and hopped out to meet Nara, who linked arms with me indicating that we were ok. We walked into the building and made our way to the 6th form common room.
"It doesn't matter that he was horrible to Harry. He had his reasons and he helped him in the end!" I didn't even need to open the door to know that that was Paxton.
"But he killed Dumbledore! Snape was evil! One good deed does not make him good!" And that's Palmer.
"Seriously guys, just shut up already!" And that is Tayghen.
Nara and I laughed before walking in, and instantly I was bombarded.
"Jessea! Please tell this idiot that Snape was the hero!"
"No, Jess tell Palmer that Professor Snape was evil! Even his name sounds evil!"
"Jer, please just make them shut up."
Nara gave me a sympathetic look before shrugging and walking away.
"Gee thanks Nara," I mumbled, "ok, Paxton, Palmer, Snape was an evil hero. He was horrible to the trio because Ron has Lily's red hair; Hermione had her intelligence; and other than being her son, Harry had her eyes. So all in all the trio made up Lily and that pissed Snape off, so he made them miserable, but in the end he had to help because he couldn't betray Lily like that. Face it, you're both right!"
I went to sit with Tayghen, as Palmer and Paxton sat a different table in silence, contemplating what I just said. Tayghen leaned on my shoulder as I sat down and wrapped his arms around me.
