chapter 1

Vanessa's pov:

Hey Vanessa here! I'm 14 in the ninth grade I'm 5'4 and I got curves in all the right places. I'm mixed my mom is puritan and my dad is black. I was born and raised in new York but today I'm moving to Miami due to my dad cheating on my mom. After she filed the divorce we decided to start fresh and move to Miami.

This morning

My alarm went off

Today is the day I start my life all over, I didn't have a lot of friends because of drama. I got out of bed and went to my closet to pick out my outfit. I came out with a red long sleeve shirt and my denim washed jeans and my air forces. I ate breakfast brushed my teeth then took a shower. After taking a warm ass shower, I lotioned my body, put my clothes on then I put my curly hair in a ponytail. And started to load my suitcase in the trunk." Honey I'm so excited, are you?" My mom said placing her suitcase in the back seat in the car. I shrugged." I guess, I mean it's a new and better start sooo I guess you can say I'm happy." I said putting my seat belt on.

At the airport

" bye baby I'm gonna miss you soooo much, make sure you call after you land. Okay?" My auntie fanisha said in tears. I hugged her and wiped her tears away."auntie fafa please don't cry, whenever there's a break I promise we'll visit. Just don't take this as a good bye, and please stay out of trouble." I said.

Flight Bording to Miami Is almost taking off so people going to Miami needs to leave now.

We finally said our byes to auntie fafa. My grandma didn't come to say goodbye because ever since my mom had me at 16 my grandmother disowned her. We got on the plane my mom was reading a book and I was listening to music. I then fell asleep.

After the flight

Were finally here. My ass was hurting from all that sitting. My mom's car was brought to us and we drove to our new home. The house had three rooms, one for my mom, one for me, and a guest room. I went to my room and soaked in that new house smell. I went outside to help my mom with the suitcases, our other belongs are coming tomorrow. While I was running to go help my mom I bumped into this boy." Omg I'm so sorry." I said." It's okay, you good?" He asked. Damn he was fine." Yeah I'm good... my name is vanessa Charles." My name is Alex. Alex pottmen. I smiled." Well it was nice meeting you Alex, and again sorry for bumping into you. " I said." I think I know how you can make it up to me." He said smirking. I raised one eyebrow." And how is that?" I asked with a little additude." Give me your number." He said smiling. I blushed a little and gave him my phone and he gave me his. After that I went to go help my mom get the stuff." Who was boy you were talking to, he cute." My mom said. I laughed a little." Just a boy I ran into literally, his name is Alex by the way." I said bringing the suitcase in the house.

Night time

After getting our suitcases in the house, we decided to go shopping for a little while. We were finally at the mall, I went to Girls Fashion (made up store) and looked at some cute outfits for school on Monday." Hey mom is this cute?" I asked holding it up for her to see. She looked and nodded her head and went back to looking at some clothes for her.

Megan's ( vanessa's mom) pov:

Hey I'm vanessa's mom I'm really upset because my daughter is growing up so fast and her stupid father isn't here to see her grow up to be a beautiful, smart, and independent women. Only if he didn't cheat. I was so caught up in my feelings that a tear slipped out my eye, and vanessa noticed. "Mommy what's wrong?" She said while hugging me. I know we were in a store in all but the pain was to much, it's just so hard because the man I thought I loved, the man I thought was gonna be here for his wife and child, and the man I thought who was gonna be with me forever and die together was actually having a sexual relationship with my best friend. Just thinking about it gets me so upset. Now I was just full blown crying." Mom it's okay it's gonna get better." She said while hugging me. I wiped my tears and hugged Vanessa. For some reason she reminded me of my older sister Natasha, she was so comforing and she knows what your thinking even if you don't say it out loud. After getting myself together We purchased the clothes and left.

Vanessa's pov:

When we got home we made dinner, once we were done eating I offered to wash the dishes. After washing the dishes I took a shower and put on a tank top and boy shorts ( her sleepwear ) I was dozing off to sleep but I had received a message from....Alex???

Alex😍: hey beautiful

Me: shouldn't you be asleep right now

Alex😍: nah I'm just chillin but I just want to say when I first saw you you were lookin fine asf

I blushed

Me: awww thanx but I got to go to bed you live around were I live right?

Alex😍: yh y?

Me: maybe we can meet sometime and hang

Alex😍: yh I'm down wit that

Me: kk but I'm tired😩 so I'll see you tomorrow gn🌚

Alex😍: gn beautiful 😘

After reading that text I was literally smiling in my sleep I think I got a crush.
