I carried my apple crumble cake recipe proudly in my bright green dress. I was entering in a talent show at Jake's and Mimi's school. "Your gonna win this for sure Mandy" Mimi encouraged me "Thanks" I said straightening my dress. "Yeah. Go out there and knock their socks off" Jake yelled and I laughed. "Alright" The speaker blasted out; "Now, for number 17, we have Amanda Tildr with her baking talent!" I smiled and walked out there.

Walking to the mic I said "Thank you for watching me, well you didn't come to see me but, whatever. Today I'll be baking an Apple Crumble Cake for you right before your eyes. This may sound boring but you each get a piece!" The audience clapped a little bit and I got to work.

Okay, eggs, flour, apples, peel the apples, crack the eggs, measure the flour, add the cinnamon, make the crust, mix the batter, pour the batter, put crumble on top, put in oven, bake in oven. Clean up, okay make small kitchen spotless. Bing! The timer for the small oven went off. I took it out and plopped it on a rack. I cut a slice and put it on a plate with a fork. Walking over to the judge I laid it in front of him.

He looked at it then took a bite. "Mmm! Oh yum! This is delicious Amanda, Good job!" He said delightfully. I smiled back and thanked him. "Okay, number 18 is Charles Fiscel preforming the art of, well art" The speaker said and I saw a boy who looked about 17. "Good luck" I smiled at him. He ignored me. Mimi whispered in my ear out of no where "Hmph, well, someone's having a bad day. He's probably having a man period" I laughed and we went to sit with the audience.

After a tone more performances, The judge came out. "Now, for our winner, with their amazing skills and talents, we have," He opened his mouth to speak. I held my breath. Please let it be me please please please! I stopped begging in my mind because of what he said.
