2nd Person POV
It has been 2 weeks since Crowley took you into custody. Life wasn't at all terrible, for the first week, in fact in normal circumstances you would've loved living with him. He owned a large part of Ferid's assets and frequently gifted you with expensive toys and trinkets he found on his missions outside of the city.
You tried to talk to Chess and Horn more but they were both very busy.Nobody would tell you why everyone was so busy but you found out soon enough that the vampires were planning some sort of attack.
You didn't know what to think at first but that didn't matter to you. It would likely be a once in a life time opportunity to escape. In fact it shouldn't matter at all if the humans were to win, but then again, if Crowley was killed during the attack, and the vampires came out victorious, you worried what would happen to you then. You shake away those uneasy thoughts and went back to focusing on your book. You decide that since you're still alive you should just enjoy your life in luxury as it stands. Ferid had gone and gave you a list of specific parts of the mansion where you weren't suppose to goto with dire consequences but you knew that that was just going to make you want to go there even more.
But for now the library seems like the safest option you thought as you flipped the crispy, yellow page of an old seventeenth century novel. These were one of the few times where you got to spend time alone, planning your next step, not that you had a lot you could do anyways. Normally Crowley would be watching your every move and doing what ever he wanted to you, but what disturbed you the most was thinking how much older he was then you.
You guessed that in some ways you were thankful for the attack happening soon. When you finished the book you put it back on the shelf and promptly grabbed another. You weren't really a picky reader. Bored you grabbed another book out of the shelf triggering a "click" noise. Suddenly large stone steps began to emerge from the floor beneath you, startling you as you side stepped.
Looking down at the darkness below you wondered what was in it and all. Cautious but determined you walked down the stairs, making sure not to create any sound or slip when a large room came into view. You considered going back up stairs just in case someone sees you but you couldn't let an opportunity to gain valuable intel like this slip by could you? The vampires even went as far as to hide this room so there's bound to be something to gain down here, plus your curiosity was killing you, actually at this rate it might just literally. All three walls of the room had wooden shelves that were practically stuffed with thick books, giving off that ancient smell only old books had. Lighting up a few scented candles with a match you found, you discovered that the room was actually far bigger than you anticipated.
You walked between the shelves slowly, picking off what ever book piqued your interest and then putting it back, making sure it was in the exact same place you found it in. You were freaked out when you discovered that the majority of the books were filled with things like black magic said to have been only used by the vampires with the blackest of hearts, transformations into terrible creatures, demons, ancient torture techniques from the medieval times you assumed was for interrogation and other things of that ilk.
"Creepy" was the only word you could think to describe the books but that didn't stop your curiosity. Disturbed but still going, you picked up another few books off the shelf and sifted through the pages. "Blood for Blood: Monster of a Sword" one read. You didn't know the meaning of it nor did you want to find out so you placed it back into its place and walked around some more. There's got to be something helpful and interesting but not entirely creepy around here you thought slightly anxious, I'm not about to get my ass whooped for nothing. Suddenly a book on a high shelf caught your attention "Vampire Transformations: Volume 3" it said. People actually write volumes on this stuff? You thought as you took it out of its place, wow vampires actually have more free time then you thought. You felt the dust on the cover of the book and blew them off which was a huge mistake as it made you cough. You turned to the first page and discovered a whole list of chapters "An Introduction to Vampire anatomy" "Human to Vampire Transformations" "The combat advantages of Nobel vampires" "The spiritual relevance of demons to vampires" then one particular title caught your eye "Vampire to human transformations".
Funny, you've always wanted to know how to turn vampires into humans be it unconsciously or consciously. Wouldn't it be better for both sides if all vampires were just humans? The vampires wouldn't be limited to drinking blood so they could just blend into society right? Everything should be fine right? No you thought after a while. The vampires would never agree to something as crazy as this since many problems would arise. For instance the vampires would be forced to live significantly shorter lives and there would be political problems regarding this issue globally. Plus what is there for them to gain if they agree to turn back into humans anyways you think.
With 90% of the world population gone, it's probably almost impossible to want things to go back to the way it use to be, you think, a tear forming in your eye. Mom, dad I miss you guys so much you sigh longingly as you wiped away the tear.Suddenly you hear foot steps coming from above. Crap how long have you been down here you think panicking, twenty thirty minutes? You were so lost in the world of books that you completely disregarded the chance that somebody might spot the secret room being opened.
You quickly stuffed the vampire transformations book between your belly and your shorts, on the off chance that you might ever need the book's knowledge and took a deep breath to brace yourself for what's coming.
"(Y/N) chan" the red haired said slickly " I didn't know you were that interested to learning more about us and frankly I'm flattered, but still, the fact remains that you've just entered a restricted area and for that, it is my duty as a Nobel to punish you"
Uh oh that was Crowley's usual sickly sweet voice scolding you for what you've done but somehow you sensed that he had a feeling of excitement?.(A/N) Spoiler alert: Mika's gonna get involved and a lot of complicated things are gonna happen LOL I don't what but I'll put something together xD don't worry I'll proof read it 50 times before I publish it lmao.
