The next day, when Bridget exited the car, waving goodbye to her parents, the four girls were waiting by the front doors. Brittany was clicking away at her phone, blowing bubbles that were a matching mint green with her dress. Quinn was leaning against Danielle, showing the girl something or other on her phone. And Arielle was standing beside Brittany, peering around with bored eyes and pursed lips.

Quinn squealed when she caught sight of Bridget. "Bridget!" she screamed, gaining the attention of other students. The redhaired girl rushed her, tossing thin arms around her shoulders in a tight hug. "Oh my gosh! Thank you so much for helping me with my problem last night!"

Bridget tried to think of what she was talking about. They had spoken about a lot of things, but she didn't remember Quinn mentioning any - oh. The issue with Amy. Bridget didn't realize that it had actually been a problem with Quinn. She had just believed that it was a little thing that was making her uncomfortable. "Well, like I said yesterday, I'm sure there's a reason for Amy's staring," Bridget said, tilting the side of her lips up in a half smile.

Quinn pulled away from her and nodded her head quickly. "Oh, we've already found out what was up with her."

So they had spoken with Amy? That's good! Bridget had thought that the girls would just continue to talk about the girl and create crazy theories about her. But she was glad they weren't doing that. When she heard them start to whisper to each other yesterday about Amy being a lesbian, Bridget had worried that they would take it out of proportion and embarrass the poor girl. She was happy to hear they hadn't.

"I'm happy it's all resolved now," Bridget responded, stepping away from Quinn. She straightened her shirt and sweater and made sure her bag was securely on her shoulder. "So, what are you guys doing out here?"

She watched them exchange looks with each other. Concern and panic built up within her. Had they found out about her? Were they out here to confront her? Did they think the same of her as her last classmates did?

Fortunately, her worries were for nothing. "We were actually going to ask if you'd like a ride in the mornings," Danielle said, turning her dark eyes on her. Bridget froze, mouth opening slightly in surprise. They wanted to offer her a ride to school?

"Uh, I - wow," Bridget shook her head in amazement. Why were these girls so sweet? "I-I'd have to ask my parents, but I'm sure they wouldn't mind."

They wouldn't mind at all. When Bridget had told her mom and dad about Brittany and the others, they were beyond excited for her. It had been so long since Bridget had spoken to anyone other than a councelor or her family that they had started to become afraid that she would be alone forever. But as Bridget had continued to talk about the four girls with them, her parents had told her that they had never seen her smile so brightly before. Bridget had been embarrassed, to say the least, but not as much as she had thought she would be.

"Cool!" Brittany popped, smacking her gum once the bubble was back in her mouth. "Now, you arrived with about two minutes left to get to class. Lets go."

The girls seemed to create a formation as they walked. Brittany in the front, Quinn and Danielle behind her, side by side, and Arielle pulling up behind. Bridget floundered for a second before deciding to just walk to the side and slightly behind Arielle. She fit in there, at least.

It was like the girls knew where her first class was. They led her to the science labs that were down the first right hall upon entering through the front doors. Then, Bridget remembered yesterday in the library. They had all seen her schedule! Of course they'd know what and where her first class was!

"Hey, Robin," Brittany's voice pulled Bridget's attention from her thoughts. When she glanced up, she found herself looking at a strange scene. Brittany was standing close to Robin - who was leaning against the wall looking at papers - almost pressed up against his front. Robin was giving her an unamused stare ins response. "How was your morning?"
