I sit on the cold floor of the Windy-Hills Pound. I don't like it here at all, but I have no where else to go. I'm sorta stuck here. Until I get an owner, that is. But I've been here for two years, so I might not have a chance at all of getting adopted. I'm only a husky pup. Not everyone likes huskies. My thoughts are interrupted by a girl's voice.
"I want that one, Mommy." She says. The one I believe is the girl's mom nods.
"Okay, honey. How much is it though?" The lady wonders. The little girl leans in closer to the cage.
"It says $199.00," the little girl reads. The mother looks pleasantly surprised. She nods and hands a man the money.
"Which one?" The man asks. The mother points at me and I wag my tail eagerly. The guy nods and opens my cage door. He puts a leash on me and let's me see the girl and her mother. I jump up gently and lick younger one's face. The youngling giggles. She pats my head and rubs my back.
"Let's go home. Wait. Mommy, what's her name?" The girl wonders.
"Well, Jenna, you get to decide." The mother explains. Jenna smiles and pats my head again.
"Since I liked the Star Wars movie so much, I'm gonna name her Kylo Ren." Jenna says. Her mom disagrees.
"Let's just try Kylo. That's cuter." She says. Jenna nods in agreement. I bark, agreeing as well. Woof! Woof! Jenna smiles at my low barks.
"Kylo, be quiet sweetie. Mommy will get annoyed..." Jenna playfully whispers in my ear. This movement always makes me shiver. Jenna lifts me into a large van. I just let her do so. The van is quite comfy. I rest my head on Jenna's lap and close my eyes. Nap time!
