I opened my eyes, but quickly closed them. The light was so bright.

"Ma'am, are you alright?" A strange voice spoke softly.

"What happened?"

"You were in an accident. Can you tell if anything hurts?"

"Uh, my head hurts a little, same thing with my arm. But, my back is killing me."

"Your back... Can you feel your legs?"

"Yes. Where's Connor?"

"He's safe. He was conscious when we arrived, and he was easy to get out. Now, can you move your arms?" I moved my arms, with no pain. "Alright, now. I want you to put one hand on the roof of the car, and unbuckle with the other. Then, I think it's pretty self explanatory of how you get yourself out. This may hurt your back, but once you're out we can help you with the pain and figure out what's wrong."

I managed to get myself out of the car, and the pain in my back was worse than before, but I could still feel my legs. I saw Connor sitting on a gurney being treated by a paramedic.

The people around me were shouting things that I didn't really understand. I felt them lifting and placing me on a backboard, and placing a neck brace around my neck. Soon after, some poeple lifted the backboard onto a gurney. They were wheeling me passed Connor, and I reached out to grab him.

"It's not your fault Con. Call my dad, and tell him what happened. He'll understand, trust me." He nodded and I was soon in the back of the ambulance.

When I woke, there was this annoying beep that wouldn't stop. I felt an oxygen mask over my face, and there were people talking.

"... She has many pulled muscles and ligaments, there is also major bruising. Alex also has a concussion, and the break in her arms was close to being a compound fracture, but the bone did not break through the skin. The break in the elbow was a clean break, and will require surgery.

"Is the surgery necessary?"

"Yes, the break is close to the elbow and will be hard to set. She will also need a few pins placed in, to help prevent further damage in the future."

"Alright." It was quiet. I thought it would be a good time to let them know that I was awake. "Sweetie, are you awake?" I opened my eyes to see my dad. I lifted my arm to remove the masks

"Where's Connor?"

"Alex, he went home. He said he was going to come back tomorrow. Unless you want him to come by and visit."

"Are you mad at him?"

"No, he explained everything that happened to me. I'm not mad at him." He smiled at me, "Get some rest. I'll get the doctor to talk to you next time you wake." He stood and placed a light kiss on my forehead.

I closed my eyes thinking of what happened today, and how scary it was. I miss Connor. I thought that he would be here when I woke up but I guess I was wrong.

I soon became lost in my thoughts and the last thing I remember was my dad telling me that everything would be alright.

I hope you enjoyed!
