Chapter Twenty-One

*Darth Niksu POV*

Ben finally set me down and looked me over. 

"Your..."

"Big, yes I know. What are you doing here? How did you escape?"

"I...Rey...don't get mad..."

"What is it Ben?"

"I...I've joined them...and I need you to..."

"This is what I feared. You...them..."

"Rey, don't..."

"No! You were going to lie to me! You were going to..."

"Rey! It's different now!" He glared at me.

I glared back at him, both of our hearts pumping with adrenaline.

"How is it different?"

"Rey, I know that you have hate inside of you, but Poe..."

"Is my brother. Tell me something I don't know."

"If you'd let me finish I would. Rey there is so much out there for you to appreciate. I don't know any other way to tell you this, but Poe found your mother and she's worried sick about you."

I paused. This must be a lie. I must be dreaming. Even Maz Kanata knew that no one was coming back for me on that planet.

"That's a lie Ben. Don't play with my feelings. All we need is each other...and our children."

"What do you mean children. I haven't..." Ben stopped and looked at my unbelievably large belly. "T-there's, two in there?" 

I nodded.

"Yes Ben and we need to think of them and their future."

"And I am. They'd have two uncles and two grandmothers and two, happy parents."

"How can I even trust you anymore? How do I know you won't try and kill me?"

Ben sighed and placed both hands on my shoulders.

"Rey. You already know that I would never hurt you. I love you. You're the only thing that I really care about. And so are those beautiful things inside you. If you don't believe me, look inside me and see for yourself."

I didn't have to look. I knew that his heart belonged only to me. And mine, his. But I didn't want this.

"Ben, I've already foresaw this. If I continue with this life. We will never be happy."

"What do you mean? Of course we will."

Then I heard the rustling of the leaves and sticks snapping beneath someone's feet. There voices as well. Two which I recognized. Poe and Finn. Five figures emerged from the foliage. Four which I recognized. Poe, Finn, Luke, and Leia stood in defense as soon as they saw me. A woman stood behind them hiding behind Poe.

"Ben. Step away." Leia ordered.

My eyes blazed with tears. She was telling him to step away from me.

"Mother I..."

"Don't waste your breath. Come find me when your ready to have a family." I said, pushing myself away from him. 

Ben reached for my arm again.

"Don't leave." He pleaded.

"I already have." I said coldly.

"Wait!" 

The woman who was hiding behind Poe ran towards me. 

"Who are you? And what do you want?"
