'That's quite the monster you've got in there. Want to see mine?'
Speeding passed the "Welcome to Mystic Falls" sign again, I'm tempted to run it over. This horrid little town has caused me nothing but problems, when I leave here for a second time it'll be my last.
I am determined to never step foot in this town again. I will never have to see the Salvatore brother's love struck eyes. Their annoying blond bimbo and that witch. Not to mention that ancestor wolf of mine.
Then the history teacher, Alaric Saltzman, his goodbye will be the richest of them all. He's never done anything to me but just the fact that he sides with Esther makes him high on my hit list. Striving to end my so called family is the only thing that makes his life worth my time. He can stake the Original three, torch their sire line and banish the world of many vampires. It won't be much of a loss until he guns for either me or Kol. Then there's a problem.
Alaric can be the eye of the storm to the people of Mystic Falls. I'll be the hurricane no one will see coming until it's too late.
Kol flips the sunstone over his hands. Feeling the smooth surface of the cursed item, sensing its power and the dark magic that emits from it.
"If you break this curse you'll gain a number of new enemies" I don't even glance at him "Doppelgangers are a powerful rarity and you'll be ending the line of a very well known one."
Does he think I don't know that? People who haven't even met Elena will be on me for spilling her blood. I can be used for many things to the witches, travelers, vampires and heretics. I'm shocked Elena has lived this long but then again she was supposed to die by the hands of Klaus.
"It's either I kill Elena Gilbert or I let the Petrova and Adaire drop my body in the ocean." my blue eyes glare down the road where the fog slowly rises from the earth. Making the path blurred and reduces sight. "I've killed for much less. Elena Gilbert was born to die and I'm sure under that fragile face she was liked and hated by many."
It sounds fiercer than I intended, like a snap of a python cutting through skin.
Kol pays no mind to it. He scoffs, having heard the emotionless tone for so many years and having grown used to it. Unaffected, he uses his own dark voice that would send anyone to their knees in fear. "Don't down play it. She'll be missed by nothing but young, reckless monsters who you'll dispose of within the sacrifice. After I'm done tying up loose ends there will be no one left to mourn the death of Elena Gilbert."
I turn my blue eyes on him, slightly smiling at the way the stone reflects off the sun and onto him. His dark aura seems brightened by the mixture of reds and oranges casting a soft glow on him and the interior of the car around him.
"To tie up loose ends?" I muse, my smile growing. "Would you like the honors, love?"
Kol smiles, making him look more human than I've seen any vampire look. He drops the stone on the dash of the car and replaces it with my hand. "You are wicked, my darling" he kisses the back of my hand. "I wonder how our siblings will react to their deaths, especially Caroline and Matt. Poor Bekah and Nik, they'll learn how miserable it is to tear your loved one away"
