It was a nice and sunny day in Peoria.I was on my phone listening to my favorite singer which is Shawn Mendes of course when I was interrupted by someone knocking on my bedroom door.
"Lia, Mavis is here to see you." My mom stated.
I got up out of my bed and turned my music off. I walked to the front door very tiredly and opened it. As I opened it I was greeted by Mavis(my best friend).
"Are you going to invite me in?" Mavis asked me.
I didn't realize that I was just standing there watching her.
"Oh yeah come in sorry."
Mavis entered and gave me a big hug.
We both went in the living room and sat down on the couch. Mavis asked if we could watch Identity Thief. Of course I said yes, that movie is hilarious.
As we were watching Mavis grabbed the remote and quickly paused it. I'm guessing that she remember that she had to tell me something.
"Hey I was watching that." I say kinda rudely.
"I'm not supposed to tell you this but Josh likes you." Mavis said to me.
"OMG ARE U SERIOUS!!!!" I scream like a little girl.
I have liked this kid in my class named Josh ever since I went to school. He is funny, tall, good at sports, and has a great personality. So when Mavis said that Josh liked me I kind of had a hard time believing her.
"Don't be messing with me Mavis."
"I'm not messing with you I asked him and he said that he does like you, and I don't mean like you as a friend I mean that he likes you likes you." Mavis said really fast.
I almost passed out I was so excited that he actually liked me.
"I asked Josh a few days ago if he liked me and he said that he didn't like anyone in the school." I said to Mavis with a sort of confused face. "Plus I thought that he had a girlfriend?"
"He broke up with her yesterday because he said that he liked you." Mavis said to me with a super exciting face.
Now I literally almost passed out.
"He broke up with his girlfriend because he likes me?" I say to myself.
Could this day get any better.
*This is my first chapter of my first book and I think that I am going to have fun making it. I hope that you guys liked this chapter and I hope that u guys like the rest of my book*
