Chapter 4
(Emma’s Prov)
After josh got his lunch he sat down at our table. UGHH how am I going to tell him??????
“What is wrong honey?” Josh asked worried.
“I need to tell you something.” I said looking in to his eyes.
(Josh’s Prov)
Her eyes look right into mine her eyes had worried all over them.
“Okay, what?” I ask I hope it’s about that conversion I overheard.
“Let’s go somewhere else.” She said with worry in her voice.
She grabbed my hand and we walked out the cafeteria and into the hallway.
“So what is it that you want to tell me?” I asked considered.
“Well you know when we had sex at that party and then you got sent to military school. Well when you were gone I started to felt really sick but not like usual, so we got a pregnancy test and it send positive so then we got TEN more and they all said positive! I decided to have the baby and it was a girl. I gave her up for adoption (which was really hard to do) and they called Leah.” She said calm and slowly with a little bit of sacredness.
“You had a baby?”I asked her.
“Yes, do you hate me?”She asked scared.
NO, I’ll never hate you” I said caring and heartedly, I grabbed her and gave her a huge hug and I just held her in my arms she started to cry.
“I love you.”She said in between cries.
“I love you too with all my heart.”I said back to her, Tears started to slip from my eyes.
We went to the front office and checked out.
“Can we get ice cream?” She whispered in the car.
“Yes.”I answered.
“Okay, thank you.” She mumbled.
(Ice cream planet)
“Hello what can I get you?” the cashier asked.
“What do you want babe?” I asked Emma.
“Chocolate ice cream and a big cookie.” She said in a baby voice.
“Can we get a large cone with chocolate ice cream and one with vanilla and a big cookie?” I told the cashier.
“Okay that will be $5.39.” the cashier answered.
“Here you go.” I gave her the money and we walked to our table.
(3 minutes later)
“Here is your ice cream and cookie.” The waitress said putting the tray on the table.
(Emma’s Prov)
I finished my ice cream cone and started to stare at my Big cookie.
“What are you doing?”Josh laughed.
“Trying to decide if I want my big cookie now or when I get home.” I said still looking at my Big cookie.
“Okay.”He chuckled, he picked up the cookie and he ate it!
“What my why Meany!”I said astonished by what he just did.
“Well I was hungry and you were not eating it.”He said whipping the crumbs off his face.
I lead back into my chair and started to mumble “Meany eating my cookie right in front of me, Big Fat Meany. He just chuckled.
We went to the park and we started to swing on the swings.
“Tell me again why I’m doing this? I haven’t done this in years.” Josh asked
“You are doing this because you love me and you’ll do anything for me.” I stated
“Okay.” He chuckled.
“Hey Josh?”I asked.
“Hmm.” He said.
“If I keep Leah would you still be with right now at this very moment?”I asked.
He stopped swinging “Yes, I never leave you for anything, I never hurt you, and I love you too much.”He said in a really hearted way.
I started to cry he came over and held me “I love you.”He whispered in my ear.
We just sat in his car thinking of what to do. I knew what I wanted to do but I’m scared he won’t want to.
“What do you want to do?”Josh asked.
“Well, do you want to go see Leah?”I answered with a question.
“Yes, where do they live?”He answered back with a question.
“2803 mockbird dr.”I said knowingly.
“Okay “He said, he started the engine.
The whole drive is a half a hour I turned on the radio and my favorite song came on, “Burn it to the ground tonight.”By Nickelback.
