Chapter 6: Throwing some punches at the Mall

Riley's P.O.V

We were sitting in Meghan's car on our way to the mall and there was an awkward silence between us after we saw this Ethan guy kiss Meghan's cheek so I decided to start a conversation and kill that awkward silence with some teasing questions.

"Sooo who was that hot guy Meghan," I felt her tense up at my question but she eventually replies.

"We had a bet," she said with uncertainty in her voice.

"What sort of bet?" Rebecca joined the conversation and she seemed excited to find out.

"If he beat me in a race I would go out with him, but if I won I could tell him what to do for a week," she said straightforwardly

"Aaaaaaaaannnd what happened," I asked although I knew the answer to my question. This is Meghan were talking about. She's an absolute athletic freak OF COURSE SHE WON.

But she did not open her mouth. She was completely silent and that worried me so I asked again.

"Meghan.......you did win right?"

She stayed silent and that confirmed my suspicion.Meghan had her first defeat and Meghan was never compatible with defeats and would always transform into a bad mood, but something felt weird in her expressions she didn't show any sorrow.

What has gotten into that woman?

And because I was very confused and puzzled I started shouting:

"OH. MY. GOD. YOU LOST TO HIM DIDN'T YOU," I shouted out loud and Rebecca face palmed.

"Way to make her feel better Riles,"

"Oh, I'm sorry Meg but STILL I cant believe you lost a race," I said quickly trying to fix my mistake.

"Nah its okay I just don't know what to do about Ethan, I know he won't leave me until I go out with him," she said with a sigh.

Rebecca held up her fists and said "Want me to go kick his ass and tell him to stay away from you?,"

"NO," me and Meghan said at the same time.

"I said I want him to stay away from me I don't want to kill him Rebecca," She said as her voice cracked, making me and Rebecca look at each other weirdly.

I think she likes him, because if she didn't she would've already planned a revenge on him. As I said Meghan doesn't handle defeats really easily so this situation was a bit different.

"oh come on just a few punches and he'll never bother you again," Rebecca said trying to fish deeper into the sea of Meg's mystery.

"NO, Rebecca i'll just talk to him I don't want anyone getting hurt," she finally confessed

Awwwww she doesn't want him hurt!!!

"Fine," Rebecca put her fists down and we started talking about anything and every thing until we finally reached the mall after twenty minutes .

I'm the first one to get out of the car and I catch a few people looking at me with awe. I wondered what was wrong, then it hit me.

We were riding a freaking Lamborghini.

When Rebecca got out of the car her face fell and I could tell that she felt uneasy.Oone thing you should know about Rebecca is that although she's a badass, motorcycle riding and boxing chick she HATES to be the center of attention.

Meghan got out next and locked the car with her keys then she noticed everyone looking at us. Unlike Rebecca, Meghan doesn't mind being the center of attention. She's gotten used to it because of the crowds that come to her baseball and soccer games.
