The Crown Prince of Yani paused over his writing as he heard the approaching footfalls. There's no need to look for here in the Academy, only the Prince and his loyal companion can have the access to each Princes' Chamber. "Hyunchul. Have you any news for me today?" Jaejoong kept his voice calm and face blank as he always did for the past nine full moon although his heart had hammered his chest with hope again.

However, his companion remained silent and casted a look he was all too familiar with. His heart ached. Not a news from his lover again. He laughed softly. The sound cynical even to his own ears. Can I even call the Prince of Bakura my lover still? Does he still have that right?

"My prince..."

"I have no need for your apology and sympathy." He remarked coldly, masking his real emotion perfectly. "I have no use for either. Go make yourself useful. Fetch me the scroll I need. I must study if I want to return to Yani quickly." Jaejoong glared seeing the worried look on his companion’s face. For some reason, the man's still rooted on the spot. Patience running thin, Jaejoong flung the brush and barked. "Go now!"

His unexpected outburst had the man leaving the room in haste and Jaejoong finally allowed himself to break. He slumped down on the chair as soon as his companion closed the door, breathing hard and loud. He wasn’t even aware he was crying until he tasted the bitter tears upon his drying lips. Why did you give me hope, my love? Jaejoong bit the inside of his mouth in his effort to drown his gasps. Is there a need for me to be this pitiful?

He's of course aware of Bakura's growth in power. Despite being a neutral isolated Academy, there were whispers floating around about Bakura's sudden change of ruling that started since the return of their Crown Prince Yunho. Jaejoong realized the older man might be too busy and weary in his predicament. After all, he knew of the kingdom's unprecedented move in declaring wars and winning them recently, making Bakura a fearsome force in such a short time. He knew. He knew all of this from hearsays. But he wanted to know from the man himself. He'd written to Yunho once after the first full moon of their separation, wanting to be assured of his beloved's well-being and to understand why Bakura's starting to cause wars again.

However, to his confusion the letter remained unanswered until now.

If not for the necklace that Yunho gifted him, Jaejoong would have given up a long time ago. He would at least try if only his beloved didn't leave him with Bakura's most prized ornament. Is this the reason you gave it to me, love? As it still hung loosely around his neck, Jaejoong clasped the embellished metal fiercely and prayed to the Heaven. Do not leave me hanging for long then.. Be safe and keep your promise to me. I'm waiting for you my love...
