Chapter 14: Goodbye

RILEY POV:
No, this CANOT be happening,,, Is the first thing that came to my mind. Then Vincent, then the drugs, what happened in California, and lastly James.

I got up and a sharp pain immediately filled my head. As if I was being stabbed a thousand times all at once. I winced at the pain and groggily got out of bed. Well attempted to but fell on the floor. "Crap" I muttered. No way in hell I'd be able to go to school.
I got up and did my daily routine and went downstairs. "Morning Riley" my sister greeted me, I rushed out the door "I'm running late, I got to go" I quickly ran to the door. "You still have 20 minutes left.." Her voice drifted as I hopped in the car driving away. My head was still banging and I had no idea what to do.

I saw a familiar car drive past me slow down as the door opened. "Riley?" I sighed and kept on waking to who knows where, ignoring the person calling me. "Go awa-" I was cut short when I felt someone grab my wrist. "Are you okay? You look... Different." I rolled my eyes. He stuffed his hands in his pockets and shrugged. "Just worried.." I sighed and stiffened recalling on the memory "something happened." He nodded and gestured to the car I stepped inside and sat down.
"James I can't go to school, atleast not for today."

He looked at me with an eyebrow raised then looked between me and the road ahead back and forth as if he was trying to figure out something. "Okay... No school then. Let's go somewhere else" he said as he pushed his foot on the gas pedal already speeding away in the opposite direction.

I pushed my hands on the dashboard for support as the car moved so fast, I couldn't even process what was going on. "JAMES WHAT THE FUCK" as if on que, he pushed the brakes and I suddenly regretted yelling at him out of no where because the next thing I knew I hit the dashboard with a sudden thud and banged my head really hard.
I placed my hand and rubbed my head as I gave him a death glare "sorry..." I heard him mutter. "Next time give me a warning before he go out speeding like a crazy lunatic." He nodded and slowly began driving, I sighed and slumped back down into my chair. "Where are we going anyways" James put on that stupid smirk he always has and decided to give me the most stupidest response ever, "oh you'll find out." I groaned once again and closed my eyes giving into the crucial headache that I could no longer bare.

A few hours later I wake up to some chirping, I look around me and I'm still in that stupid car but James isn't. I hop out the car and seem him laying on a blanket with some food set out, "hey" he smiles. I can't help but smile back as a walk closer to sit down next to him, even though I was still mad but I'll let it slide. I stop in my tracks as soon as I see a cliff, we were on a cliff in the middle of no where! But I have to admit the view did look pretty amazing, I just don't get how James found a place like this. I smile and sit down on the blanket, "thank you." And I do really mean it even though he can be annoying as hell and stupid, he can be sweet. "Where'd you get all this food and stuff anyway? Was I really asleep for that long?" I give a small chuckle. He nods laughing along but then stops and looks confused, "how did you just doze of like that anyway? Did you get any sleep last night." I nod not wanting to bring up Vincent, he didn't need to know. "You can never get enough sleep, especially when your me" I slide it off with a fake laugh. He nods along and brings up another topic, but doesn't get too pushy and that's how the rest of the day goes.

A few hours later and we were already driving back, it was close to my house actually just a few minutes away, the car ride was silent, but it was a comfortable silence. Until I broke it, "thanks for today, I really did appreciate it." His eyes instantly lit up, "no problem, plus I got to skip school and as a bonus I had you with me." I found myself having a smile form on my lips and I rolled my eyes playfully. "Yeah I know I'm pretty amazing" I joked around. "Mhmhm are you sure? Because I think Im pretty amazinger" he joined along. I laughed, "Is that even a word?" He put on a smug smile and turned to me, "Who knows but at least its true." I rolled my eyes for like the billionth time today but I wasn't mad, he was honestly such a dork but he was a pretty cute one too.

When he's not being an annoying jerk I sighed just as I reached right infront of my house, I got out and turned him, "thanks once again, I'll see you tomorrow right?" He smiled and so did I as he slowly drove away. I then slowly walked to my door as I opened it trying not to be too loud or else my parents and sister would wake up and I'd get busted. I reached my room and jumped into bed, what ever comes I'll deal with tomorrow right now all I needed was a good nights sleep.

But what are the odds, just as I shut my eyes the lights when on. Shit I was so busted. "I can explain" I mumbled as I slowly fluttered my eyes open, only there was no one there. I got out of bed and moved around but there was no sign of anyone. Suddenly I felt a hand on my shoulder, I froze at the touch. "Go away, just go away....... please" I pleaded as I squeezed my eyes shut. "No can do sweetheart, not unless you go with me." He mumbled against my ear, his hot breath tickling down my neck which was soon followed by his lips.

My skin slowly got goose bumps as he kissed down my neck, sucking harshly. "Stop" I said trying to sound intimidating but it came out as more of a moan when he got to my sweet spot. "mhnhm what was that? Do I still have that type of affect on you Riles?" He groped me all over and turned me around as she pushed me into a wall. I wrapped my arms around him and he started to now kiss down my neck onto my chest leaving marks everywhere. I kept quiet but soon leaned closer to him as I placed my lips onto his neck.

He smirked thinking he has won, I traced them to his ear and softly whispered "no you actually don't" and then I swung my leg back and kicked him as hard as I could. Grabbing a glass from the desk and I smashed it over his head, "EMILY!!" I screamed now rubbing away about to open a door when he grabbed me back and put something to my face, "Say goodbye Riley" he spat, and then slowly everything else faded black...

Damnn okay first things first yeah hi it's been a while. I was honestly going to just delete this story, it isn't going anywhere and I was getting bored of it. I started writing this when I was a literal fetus and it's just so bad Ew. Plus it's based of the next step and I don't watch that anymore, I wanted to write another story but I was to lazy so I decided to continue from this one. Instead of it being the next step based its just going to be about a girl Named riley and like everything that she goes through and what happens. And the guy she likes just so happens to be named James. So Litterally anyone can read this, you don't have to be watching the next step for it. I'm completely changing the plot line and this story will now be more adventurous and more thrilling with a lot of more action. I really hope you guys like it, and I'm terribly sorry for my grammar. Also it is now called "love hurts but so does getting shot by a gun" ;) I'll just let that hang, yes it will involve guns and all of that stuff, so yes it will be very interesting. Also my phone keeps glitching and it's very hard to type, Infact i had to write this chapter twice. But nonetheless it's finally done so yeah I hope you enjoy!
