"Oh my goodness I am so sorry!" Delilah said as she quickly looked up. She noticed that it was Luke. "Okay. How about you watch where you are going?" he said in a mean tone. "Well I didn't mean to run into you, I'm new. I-I was just looking over my new class schedule." she responded as her voice cracked. Delilah had not realized that she had dropped her schedule from being so nervous. Luke bent down and picked it up and handed it back to her. He didn't say a word, the only noise Delilah could hear is the sound of all the kids chatting in the cafeteria. He didn't want to even look her in the eyes. The next thing she knows he's walking away. The thing is, he was trying to get away very quickly because he didn't want her to see that redness or smile that was forming on his face. Luke was not the type to do that. No one in the whole entire school has ever gotten to see him the way he was getting right then. She looked down gave a slight smile and walked to her first period class. Her first hour class was chorus. She had taken singing lessons since she was just five years old. When she walked in the class her teacher, Mrs. Tanner said "hi you're our new student?" Delilah responded, "hi yes I am." with a big smile because she loved to sing. "Well, are you a soprano or alto?" Mrs. Tanner asked. "I'm a soprano." She answered. "Well you can go sit right over there by Tori Robinson" said Mrs. Tanner. "Oh okay." replied Delilah. She spent that whole period learning all of their songs that the Hillridge High students have known all school year up until this point. The bell rang. "It's already time to switch classes?" Delilah thought to herself. Delilah lifts her backpack up off of the ground and starts to walk out the door to go to her next class when someone started to yell after her. "Hey! Delilah! Hey! Wait up!" It was Tori. "Oh hi I'm sorry did you need something?" Delilah responded a little confused. "No I just thought we could walk to class together because I know biology is your next class and I'm in there too." Tori answered. "Oh yeah, sure, of course!" Delilah responded so happy and thought to herself, "maybe this can be my first friend at Bridgeport High. Maybe this won't be so bad after all?"
