Chapter 5

Camila's POV

...And of course Shawn was there to perform it.

Shawn's POV

I walked up to the stage, and something didn't feel right. "Hi everyone, I'm Shawn Mendes, here to perform my new hit, I Know What You Did Last Summer." Camila wasn't there, and she hates me. I didn't just need her because of the song- it was because I love her. I knew she was at the party, this was Dinah, Ally, and I's plan.

"Now, this song is incomplete without a special someone." I said,"Camila?"

I saw her looking up. I quickly unglued my eyes as the crowd started murmuring. I looked back and she was gone. I looked at Ally and Dinah to see them shrugging. This only made things worse.

I looked at the door, watching her leave. "Uhh, wait a sec." I told everyone. I handed the DJ my guitar, and ran to the door. I ran outside, as fast as I could. "Camila!" I shouted, but then tripped and fell. She looked over,"Shawn! Are you okay?" she knelt over me, taking hold of my shoulders.

"No." I said, smiling even though I was seriously hurt.

"Shut up, you scared me. I hate you so much." she said as she grabbed her phone to call the ambulance.

Soon, the ambulance came.

Camila's POV

I rushed in after Shawn. Paparazzi was taking pictures like mad.

I held Shawn's hand.

"I'm sorry." I told him.

"Why should you be sorry? You're my best friend."

We stared deeply into each other's eyes. It was just us. Alone.

I decided why not.... I leaned in... His eyes were shut. Just as my eyes shut, and we were as close as we could get...

"Maybe more than.. friends..." I whispered, my hand on his chest as I hovered over him. 

RING RING RING!

This had to get worse, a phone call.

I froze, realizing what I was doing is wrong. This boy has a girlfriend, Camila!

I jumped back, quick, and answered.

"Hello? Who is this?" I asked the unnamed caller.

"I don't know. Why don't you ask your new boyfriend." replied Lauren.

I sighed,"Lauren, we aren't a thing. Shawn tripped, and got hurt. Like REALLY hurt."

"Just get away from him. Camz, we are like sisters. Sisters don't steal each other's boyfriend's." she said,"Now lemme talk to Shawn."

I glared at him, passing him the phone. "It's Lauren."

Shawn's POV

"I saw the pictures online." she told me,"Shawn, you love me, right?"

I looked at Camila, her eyes wide. "Yeah, I love you... Why do you ask?"

"Ehem... CAMILA!!"

"Yeah, I know. Laur, there isn't anything wrong with guy and girl best friends."

"Okay. I will see you later in the hospital."

She hung up.

Why do I end up like this. I don't wanna break up with Lauren, because that might destroy Fifth Harmony if Camila and Lauren fight over me.

I love Camila. She is everything I could look for in a girl. Funny, talented, pretty, nice.

God, what do I do?
